Not sure these two products are comparable, but they would be good together as a first (TO) and second (CeraVe) cleansing routine. The TO is essentially an oil balm cleanser.

I didn't say they were comparable other than the hydration it gives to the skin. They are different in their own ways.

I own both and I find the squalane cleanser to be super foamy and get rid of even eyebrow makeup that no cleanser has done before. Whtheras the cerave hydrating cleanser just didn't foam, but left my skin feeling more hydrated, even if the brow makeup stayed somewhat on tact like other cleansers. So far, squalane cleanser seem more cleansing and drying. For reference, I have normal to dry skin.

Love, love Ordinary cleanser..my skin is mature, sensitive, acne prone with big pores and this cleanser save my skin from acne and blemishes....and I use the new mask with salicylic acid from Ordinary !👍👍is fantastic duo do achieve the skin you want... And I tried last month the other cleanser CeraVe and for me didn't work 😟 I heard so much about this cleanser and I want to try... My skin was not clean, clogged pores and I got blemishes. Love Ordinary ..I put my skin in there trust and I am not disappointed. Love your channel !😊👍👍♥️

I had the same experience with the CeraVe cleanser. I wanted to like it but it broke me out almost immediately. I do well with their foaming cleanser but it makes my skin feel tight. I usually use it in the summer and only if I have makeup on. But the ordinary cleanser is by far my favorite! My face feels clean and soft afterward and doesn't cause any breakouts.

At my local Walmart the equate brand has a hydrating cleanser which is a dupe for the CeraVe cleanser you mentioned in this video. For the same size bottle I think I paid about $6. I like it because it's paraben-free and has 3 ceramides. It's very soothing and it doesn't sting my eyes. This was a great review, thank you I've been wanting to try the ordinary cleanser but didn't want to waste my money.

I’m obsessed with Korean brand Heimish’s cleansing balm. My skin is normal with a leaning to the dry side, it’s so moisturising that once when I returned home inebriated after a party I forgot to use moisturiser after washing my face yet it didn’t get tight and flakey like normal. I like using a gel wash afterwards if I’m doing a double cleanse. It certainly leaves your skin perfect for the Korean 10 step programs!

An oil-based cleanser should mean that it's good to go for makeup, but i havent tried this particular once myself yet. This might be a good option for me then since i currently don't have an oil-based cleanser at hand. I use the cerave foaming cleanser as well and it still leaves my skin hydrated afterwards. Mind you i do have oily skin so i think i still need it come winter time.

Tonya Bishop Every week I make myself a homemade hydrating mask that I keep over night. I mix 4-5 pumps of scent free hydrating cream with hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, retin A and I kindda make a potion with all this and rub it all over my face, neck, chest and shoulders, my skin drinks it all but 3 weeks ago I put a pump of the cerave hydrating cleanser in my mixture by mistake and it literally burned my skin, like a sun burn. I was all wrinkled and had flaking for a good 7 days 🙄

Yeah i think that might be a niacinimide sensitivity or allergic reaction. 😯 There are quite a few cerave products that have niacinimide as an ingredient, so perhaps keep that in mind when looking at the ingredient list.

I don’t see the point in buying the ordinary cleanser unless it removes makeup like a boss because we are living in a time in history where heavy makeup use is in style and so many gentle cleansers are at the drugstore that don’t strip the skin because they barely clean anything and can’t be used alone to remove makeup.
