PRODUCT DETAILS:
-The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%:
Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant that brightens the skin tone and reduces the appearance of signs of aging. Note: Based on recommendation from our customers, this formula is now offered in a tube format for easier dispensing.This product is a water-free suspension of 23% L-Ascorbic Acid powder. Note: The format of this formula is a suspension of very fine L-Ascorbic Acid powder and, as such, provides the most direct exposure of extremely high concentrations of Vitamin C topically. With such format, there are 2 important things to consider:
1) A very strong tingling but non-irritating sensation is expected during the first 1-2 weeks of use until the skin's tolerance to such high exposure is elevated. If the sensation is too strong to tolerate, the formula can be mixed on each application with other creams or serums of your preference.
2) The powder exposure to the skin disallows the formula to feel like a serum, lotion or cream and each application requires a few seconds to feel absorbed by the skin. This formula feels gritty for a few seconds after application. If you prefer to avoid this gritty feel, we suggest our Vitamin C Suspension 30% in Silicone.
The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 30%:
-Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant that brightens the skin tone and reduces the appearance of signs of aging. This water-free formula provides 30% pure L-Ascorbic Acid which remains completely stable due to the absence of water. Due to the presence of very light silicones, this formulation feels smooth on the skin despite the suspension format of the formulation, avoiding the short-lived gritty feeling of our original Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% formula. This treatment is ideally applied at bedtime. This product is a water-free suspension of 30% Ascorbic Acid powder. Alternative products on the market offer suspensions of Vitamin C in water-free formulations in heavier silicone bases.

Was going to say the same. In the beginning I put it in my moisturizer but I can’t feel it now and you’re so right about the extra HA in it to help it. It’s amazing.

The first time I used it, I put way too much on and didn’t mix it with lotion or HA before putting it on. It burned like hell and I washed it off. Then I mixed it with the ordinary hydralonic acid and used just a pea sized for the whole face and OMG!!!!! It makes my skin feeling smooth and beautiful. I was about to return it before I watched your video. The reason it’s in spheres is because vitamin C denatures quickly if it’s not protected prior to application. I learned that from Dr. Dray on KZfaq.

People always think that if you add oil to your face you get acne. So squalane added to the sebum on your face makes you breakout. BUT it's the opposite because your face produces sebum to protect the skin because most acne skins lacks water. So the skin is trying to balance out the lack of moisture by producing oil. AND when your moisture barriers is optimal and you still have oily skin more oil can balance it out. BECAUSE the skin already has a moisture barrier you added and does not need to produce more .. if you use the right amount of oil. That is a confusion 'normal' people have because it sounds logic, but it's just the opposite when used correct. PS I'm a allround beautician studying further

I JUST started using the 23% + HA spheres 2% and, I absolutely LOVE it. My skin is very dry so this works great as it leaves my skin soft and glowing. The texture feels like it’s exfoliating the skin which I really like. The product eventually dissipates after 10-15 minutes so after that you can’t even feel it anymore. But you’re right, it’s not for everyone especially for someone with an oily skin.

Like glycolic acid 2 to three times per week and mandelic 2 per week and lactic i use it every evening because my skin have loved it. Make sure you moisturize your skin well during the day together with spf 50++++. Very soon i want to add hyaluronic for more hydrating because i have a combanition skin. Note that if your skin is sensitive if you will buy lactic acid start with 5% because deciem have 5% and 10 %. Cleanser i am using la roche posay gentle hydrating .

The grittyness doesn't indicate a lack of stability, quite the opposite, it indicates that it's a suspension rather than a solution. The whole point of the high concentration, lack of water (why it's referred to as a suspension in silicon, ascorbic acid isn't very soluble in silicon), and the opaque packaging is to ensure stability. These two are by far the most stable vitamin C products you can buy short of completely anhydrous, pure vitamin C (which TO actually sells as well but I wouldn't recommend).

Bought and tried the Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%... the first time I tried it, it burned my face and neck pretty bad but I just thought I mixed it with something that it shouldn't be mixed with. Gave my face a week to "heal". Tried it again alone (after cleansing my face with a gentle cleanser) could not wash it off fast enough. Have heard it could be slightly irritating but this burned my face so bad. The tingling was awful and wasn't subsiding, left my face red and burning. I've heard some people mention having to "build up" to using certain ingredients. Maybe I'm allergic to something in it. Not for me... :(

You can apply the niacinamide serum after the peeling solution as long as your skin is used to the solution first, but don’t apply the Vitamin C after!

Abbey, have you ever tried NIOD products, from Decium, the same company that makes The Ordinary? Looks like very innovative skincare, but I’m too confused & overwhelmed to try. Would you? Many KZfaqrs seem to be raving about it.

i have textured skin(small bumps around my chin forhead and some on cheeks) i thinking of getting aha+bha, niacinamide,glycolic acid all from the ordinary but i also wanted to add something to brighten my skin for few pimple scars , so would you recommend me to get one of these productt or go with something else (for example:aezalic acid)? i am really trying to get my skin better so adding some cerave mositurizer soon too.. though i already tried a bottle of niacinamide , didnt see any significant difference but yet thinking of trying that product again.. i am not really sure what should i really choose? i would really appreciate your help! Thankyou :D

Now I think you definitely maybe confused Squalane and squalene. TO suspension contains Squalane which is GREAT for acne prone skin. I think you confused Squalane with Squalene Which can be bad for acne prone skin. So I think you confused the two ingredients. But TO one contains the acne safe one Squalane just as an FYI. I think maybe you mixed up Squalene and Squalane.
@AbbeyYung
@AbbeyYung 4 жыл бұрын
I don’t have them confused! Squalane is the saturated, shelf-stable form of squalene. While it may be safe for those with acne, it may be an issue. This was confirmed by a dermatologist. It’s not universal.
