I’m also seeing similarities to the Dawn of Man segment in 2001: A Space Odyssey, the main primate in that section is credited as, “Moonwatcher”, and he and Moon Boy look very similar.

Have you ever considered doing videos on the history of places in the Marvel Universe? Seeing the Savage Land in this video makes me want to see a history of the Savage Land. You could further expand the idea to Atlantis, Latveria, Wakanda, and even important structures like the Baxter Building or the Daily Bugle. Just an idea you put in my head. I haven't given up hope for a video on RED NORVELL, the red headed Thor stand in, but I'm asking for a video on MORRIS MAXWELL, from the Spider-Man storyline "The Gathering of Five" and the Mattie Franklin Spider-Woman series. I know no one knows who he is but he is a guilty pleasure character of mine. As always MAKE MINE THE MERRY MARVELITE!!!!

Well now you have to do Moon girl's story. This is what happens when you have several different writers and no strict rules on where and where a character is from. Seems they either had no character sheets giving writers a definitive answer or the writers just did whatever the hell they wanted.

I don't know if this being a parallel Earth is just a post-Bronze Age creation or not, but back when the Devil Dinosaur book first was on the racks I thought it was set in Marvel (616's) past (enforced by the mentioned Godzilla issue). It made me want, even if just a cameo or prologue, Moonboy and Devil Dinosaur to meet Anthro and the Bear Tribe (Immortal Man too). Especially with Vandal Savage (before he was tied into Immortal Man's origin) and the Deviants as opponents. Had I known, I suppose Kamandi would've been a more likely team-up.

I'm amazed at how many retcons for these characters come from handbooks. I prefer to believe that Devil Dinosaur and Moon Boy exist in the past of earth 616, as well as on an alternate earth in the present. Who is to say that they didn't travel from dinosaur world to the past of earth 616 through portals from the valley on dinosaur world multiple times. Or maybe they only traveled to the past of earth 616 once in a story that has yet to take place in their linear timeline. So them in the past of 616 is them from the future of today's present and we have seen their story unfold in a non linear string of events. My head hurts now. So I'm just going to say.......... MAKE MINE THE MERRY MARVELITE!!!!

I was thinking it's less convoluted if you don't assume app dimensions start at the same time. So if we leave our dimension and go to a younger dimension that just aged up to the point where this particular planet has dinosaurs it could be retconned to make a little more sense.

I really don't understand why they put Devil Dinosaur and Moon Boy on a separate earth in the first place. That was definitely not Kirby's original intention for the characters. Sure, dinosaurs and early man didn't co-exist in real life, but this is comic books: anything goes!

It's frustrating that my favourite Devil Dinosaur appearance is too much of a spoiler to mention here - even mentioning what it's a spoiler _FOR_ is a spoiler in itself, and that's not fair on anyone reading that particular comic for the first time. Jack Kirby created devil dinosour .... his was the talent . the art, the master... Not Stan Lee... Like all of Marvel's creations hero's and villans Kirby created them, He needed Stan Lee to publish his creations ..... Stan Lee ripped Kirby off by not sharing the profits so Kirby quit Marvel comics thats when he created devil dinosaur. Only Kirby's talent gave Stan Lee his profits
