Finally a Türk that understands and apriciates academic motives rather than his/her feelings. I like that man since he knows that there is not a word "Turkic" but only Turkish and it's dialects and Turks. We are all part of the same nation and language. Don't let them divide and conquer us by made up terms.

The Uighur language continued to be in use by the Turkish diplomats in Anatolia until the 15th century. One example is the firman sent by Mehmed II to Uzun Hasan of the Akkoyunlu dynasty. Both polities were Anatolian Turkish but the language of correspondence was somehow in Uighur.

It's because Uighur isn't a formal language. It's more of a dialect of formal Turkish which is quite old. Also, the original Uyghurs of the Uyghur Khaganate the Yugurs don't really speak the same language as other contemporary Turks speak a language closer connected to Yeneseian than formal Turkish.

Thanks! I didn’t say about now. His talk not included a main part, Kipchak branch. Below just for your reference: Turkic language is divided into six branches: 1.The Southwestern or Oghuz branch contains a western group comprising Turkish, Gagauz, and Azerbaijanian and an eastern group comprising Turkmen and Khorasani Turkic. The Salar language of China seems to be Oghuz in origin but during its eastward migration it acquired features from northwestern and southeastern languages.
2.The Northwestern or Kipchak branch has a western group comprising Kumyk, Karachay-Balkar, Crimean Tatar, and Karaim, a northern group comprising Tatar and Bashkir, and a southern group comprising Kazakh, Karakalpak, Kipchak Uzbek (considered a dialect of Kazakh), Nogai, and Kirghiz (Kyrgyz).
3.The Southeastern or Uyghur-Karluk branch has a western group represented by Uzbek and an eastern group represented by Uyghur.
4.The Northeastern or Siberian branch has a southern heterogeneous group comprising Tuvan (Tuva), Karagas (Tofa), Khakas, Shor, Chulym, Altai, Yellow Uyghur (West Yugur) and a northern group comprising Yakut (Sakha) and Dolgan.
5.Chuvash situated in the northwestern area (in the Volga region).
6.Khalaj situated in the southwestern area (northwest Iran).

Are the Turks seen with the Gokturks for the first time in history? "Other communities whose Turkishness we know for sure have existed from the stage of history long before the Gokturks. One of them is the Kyrgyz. They appear as Kien-Kun in Chinese sources from the 2nd century BC. Starting from the end of the century, they migrate to the Chagatay land and settle in their current homeland in the Tanrı Mountains, while the remaining relatives are now called Khakas, literally. In our opinion, it has been observed that the Kyrgyz, who are located in the far east and, according to the widespread scientific understanding, settled in the far west of the homeland of Turkishness, have ethnic relations with the Oghuzs, whose origins are based on Western Turkishness, and this is reflected in the drums of the Kyrgyz knights. In addition, the Kyrgyz represent one of the purest and cleanest Turkish in terms of language. Except for some Mongolian words that are heirlooms of the Mongol invasion era, there is no trace of any other layer in their language. The Gokturks were the first Turkic tribe to use the name "Turk" as a political name.

@LonelyWolf In Turkiye-turkish (or call it turkic), Yikamak mean litterally to wash hands 🙂 Yika (wash), -mak (ing). “Mak” and “mek” is and ending in our language. Mean to do 😊. Think of the word Kayak. Inuits use it for a small boat. “Kayık” in turkish, is a small boat. ☺️ Again, Kay-mak means. If we look at the root of the word: Kay-mak. To-glide, gliding. Kayak is what we do on the snow: Skiing ☺️

The ancestors of the Indo-Turkic people migrated to South Asia at the time of the Delhi Sultanate and the Mughal Empire. The Delhi Sultanate is a term used to cover five short-lived, Delhi-based kingdoms three of which were of Turkic origin in medieval India. These Turkic dynasties were the Indo-Scythians(controversial),Kushans(controversial),White Huns,Hindu Shahi, Ghaznavids, Delhi Sultanate, Mamluk dynasty (Delhi), Khalji dynasty, Tughlaq dynasty, Bengal Sultanate, Adil Shahi dynasty, Bidar Sultanate, Qutb Shahi dynasty, Timurids, Deccan sultanates, Mughal Empire, Oudh State, Nawabs of Bengal and Murshidabad, Hyderabad State, Khanate of Kalat, Makran (princely state), Banganapalle State, Amb (princely state), Chitral (princely state), Phulra, Hunza (princely state), Nagar (princely state) Mamluk dynasty (1206-90); the Khalji dynasty (1290-1320);Gurjara Prathiara Dynasty (mid-8th century CE-1036 CE); and the Tughlaq dynasty (1320-1414). Southern India also saw many Turkic origin dynasties like the Bahmani Sultanate, the Adil Shahi dynasty, the Bidar Sultanate, and the Qutb Shahi dynasty, collectively known as the Deccan sultanates. The Mughal Empire was a Turkic-founded Indian empire that, at its greatest territorial extent, ruled most of the South Asia, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and parts of Uzbekistan from the early 16th to the early 18th centuries. The Mughal dynasty was founded by a Chagatai Turkic prince named Babur (reigned 1526-30), who was descended from the Turkic conqueror Timur (Tamerlane) on his father's side and from Chagatai, second son of the Mongol ruler Genghis Khan, on his mother's side.Mughals who have Turkic ancestry live in the Indian subcontinent in significant numbers. Karlugh Turks are also found in the Haraza region and in smaller number in Azad Kashmir region of Pakistan. Small number of Uyghurs are also present in India. Many Turks also live in Hyderabad known as Deccani Muslims they have Arab, Afghan, Persian, and Turkic ancestries in addition to having the local dravidian heritage. There is also a significant population an Warriors Status used by Turkic descendants known as Rowther, who are mostly found in Southern India.[1] en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indo-Turkic_people Muhammad Ghori, founder of Ghorid Empire en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turks_in_India

As far as historians know Uighur in East Turkestan are mix with the Tocharian and Sogdian. While The Yugur still hold more traditional ancient Uyghur roots and at one point use to write in ancient Uyghur meanwhile their brothers in the Tarim Basin adopted Islam and the Arabic script.

other option to discuss is a historical and cultural - but not linguistic - continuity; this would imply a language shift from the Mongolic-speaking Rourans to the Turkic-speaking Avars at some point of their history. In parallel, both disciplines suggest that at least some of the European Avars were of Eastern Asian ancestry, but neither linguistic nor genetic evidence provides sufficient support for a specific connection between the Avars and the Asian Rourans. TURCO- MONGOLIAN, 300 B.C to A.D. 1600. There are numerous modern and extinct dialects of languages within the Turko-Mongolian language family. Modern Turko-Mongolian languages include Hungarian and Finnish in Europe, and Turkish, Uzbek, Azerbaijani, Kazakh, Tatars, and Mongolian in Asia. Although Turko-Mongolian peoples first appear in Chinese records of the first millennium B.C, they undoubtedly existed much earlier in eastern and northern Central Eurasia. The period from 300 B.C. to A.D 500 is one in which the Turko-Mongolians gradually expanded throughout Central Eurasia, absorbing, destroying, or driving out Indo- Europeans. Although the Turko-Mongolian's rise to dominance in Central Eurasia represents a significant shift in language, religion, and culture there was no related transformation of the social and economic order. Pastoral nomadism remained the foundation of Central Eurasian civilization. Furthermore, the patterns of interaction between agrarian and nomadic peoples also remained fundamentally the same.

The word Kurgan which is used to describe the graves of the ancestors of Indo European ethnic groups like Germans and Celts itself is a Turkic word. It comes from Korugan. Koru means protect. Korugan means protective. Sakas are proto Turkic. There were some Indo European groups within Sakas but the majority were proto Turkic. The word saka is also of Turkic origin. Its original form was Sudaka. Su means water. These are People of water. People Who live near water and carry water. In the Ottoman Army People who carried water were called Saka. Recent genetic analysis show that Most Europeans share R1b haplogroup emerge about 18 thousand years ago in North Western Asia near Ural Mountains where the Baskurt Turks still live and still speak a dialect of Turkic language and have high R1b haplogroup like British French and Spanish People Who have Central Asia Ural Region origins.

Many people living in India are from Turk, Arab, Persian, Pushtun origin. The word Mirza is Persian; The Ahmed is Arabic word; The word Baig is Turkish word. KAKHAN is Turkish word and have same connotation as Kahgan. I am not sure. Moreover the intermaraiges were important. Chinghiz Khan father was Mangol and mother was Turkish. I am not sure.

Khazars believe that Togarmah had 10 sons called Ujur , Tauriks , Avar , Uauz , Bizal , Tarna , Khozar , Janur , Balgar and Sabir . These names coincide with different Turkic tribes which settled in the area around the Black and Caspian seas within the Khazarian Empire . Khari, R., 2007. Jats and Gujars. New Delhi: Reference Press, p.21. II. THE LETTER OF JOSEPH THE KING, SON OF AARON THE KING, THE TURK -MAY HIS CREATOR PRESERVE HIM-TO THE HEAD OF THE AS SEMBLY, HASDAI, THE SON OF ISAAC, SON OF EZRA-about 960 ... I wish to inform you that your beautifully phrased letter was given us by Isaac, son of Eliezer, a Jew of the land of Germany. [Isaac carried it through Germany, Hungary, and Russia to Chazaria.] You made us happy and we are delighted with your understanding and wisdom.... Let us, therefore, renew the dip lomatic relations that once obtained between our fathers, and let us transmit this heritage to our children. [Joseph believed the Chazars had once had diplomatic relations with the Spanish Arabs.] You ask us also in your epistle: "Of what people, of what family, and of what tribe are you?" Know that we are descended from Japhet, through his son Togarmah. [In Jewish literature Togarmah is the father of all the Turks.] I have found in the genealogical books of my ancestors that Togarmah had ten sons. These are their names: the eldest was Ujur, the second Tauris, the third Avar, the fourth Uguz, the fifth Bizal, the sixth Tarna, the seventh Chazar, the eighth Janur, the ninth Bulgar, the tenth Sawir. [These are the mythical founders of tribes that once lived in the neighborhood of the Black and Caspian Seas.] I am a descendant of Chazar, the seventh son. Jacob R. Marcus., 1999. The fact that Turkic Script looks like runic Germanic Viking Script is not a coincidence. Saying that they are unrelated is not true. There many common Letter or symbols. Similiarity is striking. This at least points at cultural contact between these two civilizations maybe also a common proto Turk ancestor.

Viking alphabet and Gokturk alphabet is very similiar. There are common symbols. Articles have been written about this subject. There also common words in both Turkic Scandinavian German and English languages. Pictures on Sölgentaş cave in the Ural mountains region where R1b is common has Turkic words. I know at least 20 words in English similiar to Turkic words.

@@cenkefeler2908 you might want to look into tartarian empire then they supposedly ruled over much of Europe central asia and the Americas since that the area European and turkic languages are from maybe they had something to do with the runes being so similar

What are the genetic markers of the original Turkish populations described in this video? How can they be genetically distinguished by the many civilizations that the Turks came in contact with?

They are mixed. I am a Turk from Anatolia, now an American. I recently got a DNA test for tendency to illnesses etc. I carry a gene for FMF, Familial Mediterranean Fever, not found at all in original Turkic people. I also have about 80% European genome groups and 20% Central Asian. These numbers are a little weird to even consider in such terms, but the truth stays: Turks of Anatolia are a mixture of likely 20+ ethnic groups of all ages. In my family, the diversity of outlook (phenotypes) is ridiculous; full blondes with blue eyes to really dark skinned fellas that could pass as an Indian, almost. Hittites, Lidyans, Armenians, Jews, Celts (yes!), Greeks, Venetians, Arabs, Caucasus tribes, Slav mix etc. etc. This is why genetic identity is a frivolous topic for Turks in Anatolia; what makes the identity is really the Language! It carries, with its idioms, aphorisms, legends and stories, the cultural touch of the people that originated around Altai mountains.
