Reading the comments and noticing that a lot of people have a problem with Palestine being derived from Philistines, a little Roman history lesson will make this clear; towards the end of the Third Roman-Jewish War from 132-136CE the reigning emperor Hadrian decided he had enough of the Jewish Rebels and renamed the Province of Judea to Syria Palaestina or Roman Palestine, after Israel’s ancient enemies the Philistines.

@@hopee7386 There is a theory I’ve heard from Hebrew and other middle eastern historians, that the Philistines were originally some Mediterranean Sea people from maybe Southern Europe or Northern Africa that Invaded the Israeli territory that’s known today as Gaza; as the Hebrew word for the people פְּלִשְׁתִּים has a root verb ‘pa•lash,’ which means: invader, intruder and trespasser. I’ve also seen the name of the people written as פלשי, with the meaning: griever, burrower, or weakener; mainly in relation to the land which they occupied at the time, until the invasion of the Neo Babylonian empire which eventually wiped them out.

They are not related, but after the Arab conquest/invasion they kept the name "Palestine" given by herodotus probably due to it being a famous region at that time as the holy land.

After the renaming of the area that was to become Palestine Hadrian began displacing the people there with Bedouin people's from all over that region. They would become many other people but not Palestinian until 19+20th centuries when the flood of Jewish holocaust survivors started returning.

It is wise that you do your own research with an open mind that seeks for truth. Truth is not something that you search to fit your personal narrative, or belief. Do you still believe in the big bang theory. Well that was debunked many years ago. It was never about who was there first, it was always about who the land, which belongs to God, was promised to. It was promised to the one with the promise. The specific lineage of Abraham to Isaac, from Isaac to Jacob whose name became Israel and all the children of Israel... Israelites, to this people where the Son of God was born into the world through: out of the house of Judah, to these people that land was promised by God. Not because they were there first, but because Israel is His kingdom and that is where it will be. Israel will be the home of all people of God, when the Nations divide and it becomes very clear those who are with the One God, and those who are simply not. In short no one is trying to have Palestine disappear, the people of Palestine are people, and God loves them as well, but the land that this is talking about, the land owned by the Canaanites for a period belonged to the Israelites. everyone else has to move because it is God's land and God's promise.
