​@@1mol831Mary was from the tribe of Juda. Biblical genealogy doesn't directly mention women so when they explained Mary's genealogy, Joseph's name is in place of Mary's he's her husband. It just followed the cultural way they would have explained genealogy at the time. Hope that helps
