Yes finally! 🤩😅🎉😁 I have been waiting to do this video for so long and I still can't get over how insane that episode was.
As much as the first part fit Felix in his desire to free Adrien and invite him to get away from the part he has to play for his father, I felt like the bridge fit Adrien more - asking Felix if this was really the life he wanted to live/mostly acting out of selfishness - and a call to join him in fighting for good. (Sorry if that was confusing but at least they are practically identical so it could sense that the voices would sound similar😉)
Anyway, as I was making this song, I was thinking about that a lot - how some people might have really good intentions when giving you a challenge or advice but can often be misguided...such as being okay with murdering the entire population of the world just so no one could tell you what to do. 😏🙃
I think most of us have softened quite a bit towards Felix (and reasonably so) however we shouldn't forget that while his intentions were to free himself and Adrien/Kagami from being controlled or mistreated, he did go about those goals in very questionable ways such as making a deal with Gabriel costing them every other miraculous (putting an even more extreme pressure on the heroes to stop him) and going as far as to literally obliterate anyone who stood in his way or even those just minding their own business. (Not to mention the things he did in the episode Felix which seem to have...absolutely no purpose other than being a jerk)
Soo yeah, (for the sake of the song) I think it makes perfect sense that Adrien would not want to join him in his extremely risky and self-pleasing behavior, and instead challenges Felix to change his priorities and open himself up to caring about other people and giving himself a chance to dream and make a new life for himself where they could work together to fight against evil the right way rather than using questionable means.
Then my favorite part is that Felix makes the choice to end the object of his hate on his own (even though that was SO unexpectedly dark and depressing but understandably necessary...guess it points to how the consequences of acting out in anger can hurt others but we all know that) and then works with Kagami to make things right/already made up his mind to "be good" by the time Adrien asks him to join (in the song) so Felix goes into the bargaining scene already knowing he's going to join. 😏😂😎😉 Then ta-da! Happy ending for both. 😁
Anyway, back to my deeper thoughts - people with misguided suggestions. Have you ever been pressured to do something that you didn't think was right or pushed to try something that wasn't really for you?
Maybe other people think your life is boring or you should rebel more against what your parents have raised you with, but maybe they don't understand that you enjoy what you're doing or those restrictions are keeping you safe. A real friend isn't going to pressure you into doing something that you feel is wrong but encourage you to do what is right. Even God doesn't force people to do what he wants - he leaves it up to them to decide what course of action they want to follow.
There's nothing wrong with trying something new or going outside your comfort zone, but we have to be careful what limits we choose to push because if we're not it may lead to some very painful consequences. That being said, if you feel like you are already trapped in a life or habit you never wanted, it's never too late to change💖
One thing I like about this song is how in the end chorus they embrace each other's differences and work together to make a change.
You can listen to someone's advice and if you notice they have a few good points without agreeing to everything they say, take what you need and respectfully decline what you don't. If you are doing what you know is right you have nothing to be ashamed of and don't have to change who you are to fit someone else's expectations.
How do we know what is right and what is not? (How do I get myself in these deep questions?)
I think there are some things that have no real answer - could be good for some people and could not be for others, but there are some things that are pretty certain, and one way you can tell is by looking at the effect it has on yourself and or others. For example something like smoking or vaping has been proven to be undeniably harmful to human bodies, so no matter how good people say it might feel it's still wiser/right to not do it. Personally I look to the Bible to know what is right or not, since I believe it is from God and he knows way better than any of us humans do.
Since I mentioned it, if you struggle with smoking, vaping, or other self-destructive tendencies, there is help and hope for you. If you need help finding good resources I'd be happy to help look up some for you based on your needs or just be a friendly ear and cheer you on to freeing yourself from whatever habit is caging you up. Love you!
