Everyone sleeping on the fact that Willow's name would have been Pollina as in POLLEN

Being able to actually hear what they are saying in the pilot after people guessed for years is so cool and so trippy at the same time.

I love just how crazy, dark, and chaotic this pilot is, especially compared to the show itself. After seeing this, it's obvious the show we got was heavily watered-down from what Dana Terrace originally envisioned.

i like how it was more violent and you can really see that the owl house could have been so much more different

I don't know why, but I love Willow's original voice.

I noticed Eda and Willow's voices sound different, like it's not Wendie and Tati voicin em, and it sounded like Eden was voicin Willow in this. But Luz and King sound the same, just King sounded more violent.

looking at this pilot again shows me how far they actually went with the animation. Like hot damn that puppet Luz shot was amazing

I see nobody talking about how Prince William (Hunter), has rounded human ears in this, and in Emperor Obron’s (Belos/Philip) original palace, there seems to be a similar human on the stained glass window behind Luz. Just cool to see how ideas can evolve overtime!

Dana totally needs to go to a different animation studio after TOH ends because she has so many wonderful ideas that Disney just doesn’t bother with.

I'm glad to see that this pilot episode, without losing quality, still retains the show's charm, merging satire of classic fantasy with the weirdness of the setting to create top-shelf humor.

If we ever get a remake for a more mature audience they could definitely pull some inspirational aspects from this pilot and mix it with the final version. 'Cause this looks super fun.

It's so interesting that they used to use wands and how different it was to what it ended up being personally I think they did a lot of things right in the current version but it would be nice to see a darker tone of The Owl House than what we got which is just showing how Disney sugar coated it

This is quite interesting to say the least, it's so perplexing to see how similar yet different the pilot and the show actually are. As well as some strange things we never got to see (or yet to see) like Puppet Luz. Really makes u wonder what direction the show would have taken of we stuck with this version.

Imagine, in a different universe, this was the version we got, and we even have a full third season!

For a pilot episode, it's pretty well done.

Man I can really see the inspiration from Gravity Falls. But I do like the older themes that is implied through this little short trailer. It’s great to see honestly.

After watching this animation with no sound for so long hearing it with audio is wild

Luz having natural magic than glyphs? King being vicious and more violent than in the OG? Willow being called Paulina? 1:15 Puppet Luz? Okay, this is the most epic Pilot episode ever. Thank you for giving us this great show, Dana Terrace. ❤❤❤

I love the fact that it could have been so much more gory and with more horror, it would've been so cool

It really feels like this version would’ve been based more on wild adventures rather than a slowly progressing storyline. I feel like Dana knew she had to cut back on the original vision in order to tell the story she wanted to, but it would’ve been so nice to get some of these crazy quests put into the show. While I love The Owl House and I love it’s story, I feel like the kind of episode ideas we saw in this pilot could’ve seriously fleshed out the world way more than the actual show itself did in ways we never got to see, and that’s a bit of a bummer.

Dude, I would have still watch this if this was the final product. Not kidding, I love the concept even when they were just tinkering around with what might happen. It would have been a great, relatable and hilarious show.

It's like that episode of Futurama where the alternate universe box was just them with a different color palette.

Glad we get to see more of the pilot. There are some things that have been changed like Eda and King’s voices, Willow’s name as well as others but those were the ones that I found interesting

Luz was willing to sacrifice her right arm or left leg to bring back a baby bird. Ed and Al need to have a talk with her before she tries to do this with her dad.

Goated pilot, I thought Luz was going to do the good ol' sleeping beauty kiss but that slap was much better and totally in character of her goofiness. I envisioned TOH to be as dark and creepy as this but with the comedy, storytelling, and depth seen in Gravity Falls and Amphibia as it currently has, wished we got this version and a 3rd season too. Last King hopping on both feet while his head was stuck in the bag made me laugh the most, mostly since they made light heart of an otherwise dangerous situation.

I love both versions of the owl house. Part of me wished that they made a separate version based on the pilot to watch. Would love to see how this one would have played out

I’m pretty glad it didn’t turn out like this, but I would of loved to see a battle between luz and puppet Luz

I really hope that Dana terrace gets to work on more projects in the future, without having to worry about her vision getting watered down. Don’t get me wrong, TOH on its own is fantastic! But seeing this pilot makes me want to see what kind of story Dana could tell if she were allowed to go “all the way”

That scene with the mirror does make me a *little* sad this isn’t the version we ended up with, but the normal show has been a beautiful work of art

i would have loved to see a more mature version of this show. dont get me wrong, the show we have is amazing, but as others have said- it was shortened, watered down and not quite what the team envisioned. some of these look so cool

What’s crazy is that I never thought I would be into stuff like this but one day I was watch tv and saw a commercial for the show and thought “that looks cool ig” and moved on but the more I learned about it the more I got interested and pretty soon I caught myself watching the first episode it excitement and when the first break came on I ran so fast to bathroom and back cuz I just couldn’t miss it. Noe I catch myself almost crying since it ended 😭

I kinda wish that they kept the creepy mirror Luz. Other than that, The Owl House was fantastic, and it's kinda sad that it's over.

It looks like luz or lucia was considered to have some kind of powers without any broom or any magic wand but also that willow x luz was considered too

Im sad that there were so many different episode ideas in this pilot that we didn't get to see in the actual show, But many of the episodes we got were good but the show really could've improved more including the ideas that were featured. Although, Maybe theres a silver lining, Possible ideas for a full season 3?

Actually, i think the final product is better. King and Hunter design, the wands being praticaly irrelevants, Hunter doesn't being a prince (i heard that somewhere), King thinking he is a tyrant (and not being) and other visual aspects
