To celebrate the ending of "The Owl House" I made one of the foods you see in the show, the "Fried Orb." While I did experience problems and failure while making this dish I invoked the Luz Noceda spirit of never giving up to make a successful, albeit smaller, Fried Orb. The Fried Orb is from Season 1 Episode 14, "Really Small Problems."

Violet food gel as needed
Bread crumbs as needed (around 8 tbsp.)

(Links to get the ingredients for you to make & enjoy it too is below the recipe)
Recipe:
1. Cut the mozzarella into smaller pieces
2. Put the mozzarella in a microwave safe bowl
3. Microwave the mozzarella for 2 minutes
4. Remove bowl from the microwave, mix the cheese, then put it back in the microwave for 30 seconds to melt. Repeat until mozzarella is fully melted.
5. Add violet food gel to the mozzarella, a little at the time with toothpicks
6. Mix the food gel into the cheese, microwaving the bowl in 30 second increments to make it easier to mix.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until you get the purple color of the Fried Orb
8. Remove the dyed mozzarella from bowl then dry it with a paper towel
9. Microwave it one last time for 30 seconds
10. Cut the mozzarella into small pieces about 1 inch wide and 1 inch tall
11. Roll the pieces into a sphere shape and compress to make it keep its shape
12. Beat the egg in a bowl
13. Dredge each cheese orb in flour, tapping off the excess flour
14. Cover each cheese orb in egg
15. Dredge each cheese orb in bread crumbs, easier to do on a plate than in a bowl
16. Repeat steps 14 & 15
17. In a large pot cover the bottom of the pot with oil
18. Put the pot on the stove top and turn the heat on to medium
19. When the oil is at optimal frying temperature, between 350° F and 375° F, put the cheese orbs in to fry. Evenly space out the orbs so they do not touch each other.
20. Turn the orbs over to fry on each side to a golden brown
21. When the fried orb is done frying, take them out of the pot and place them on a paper towel to drain the excess oil before serving
Hope you enjoy making & eating the the Fried Orb from "The Owl House."
