How are we all kinda glossing over how Luz straight up went for the kill with the Emperor? She literally tried to shank him with an icicle through his eyeball into his brain. She went so hard she cracked the mask and knocked him back. She made the guy who had been batting her around a second ago suddenly go "Okay, jeez, let's talk instead".

I'm actually okay that Amity, Gus, and Willow didn't fight along side Luz. This was Luz's episode to come into her own as the hero and decide her path. I think if the others were with her, they might have convinced her to stay or leave. She had to make that choice on her own

You forgot to mention how Auggie's dad explained how their hasn't been any cases of petrification within the last 30 years. So that means Bellos has been petrifying all of those witches under wraps for who knows how long.

She's definitely going to need to learn an electricity spell before her battery dies. Since no portal means no charge.

Your theory that the emperor is a cyborg actually sounds plausible: from the things i’ve seen, my theory is that he’s a human that learned to do magic like luz, but wanted to do it like the people of the isles do. So, he got some kind of magical metal implants, which increased his powers, but meant he had to absorb the magical powers of others to sustain himself. This is why he doesn’t want to conquer the human realm: he IS human, so he doesn’t fear or hate the human world.

My Theory is holding more water: It seems like Eda had the only portal... So the letters could have only been coming from those who had access to the portal. My money is on Owlbert. Owlbert purposely got Luz to follow him to get help for Eda and her curse. Once he took the book he paused to wait for Luz to see him with the book. It's possible that he had been watching her for a while before he gets her to follow him. Owlbert created a doppelganger as a cover and that is why the copy isn't perfect. He has the access to the human world and has magic. He is the first to meet Luz. Outside of Luz's group of friends nobody really focused on her or pay attention to her. Even Lilith seems to have forgotten about her until she ran into her again in episode 18. Also we can see Owlbert has his own magic that he used to stop Luz from falling just after Eda runs out of magic and just before Owlbert catches her.

Belos seems to want to create a dimensional integration. Overlapping the Human realm and Boiling Realm.

I've been over this SO many times with other people: She CAN do magic in the human realm. and Here's my theory. A KZfaqr by the name of Superswordman1 said: "But her magic isn't useless. The paper still dissolved. But I'm sure once Luz gets her staff she'll be able to use magic in the human world." To which I agreed. The spell wasn’t neutralized: If it was then nothing would have happened, but the paper turned to ash, which could possibly be the result of using fire magic. So the magic was there, just severely weakened. Obviously, this raises a lot of questions and theories, but for now, my theory is that “It takes an enormous amount of energy to wield magic properly in the Human Realm.” (Kind of like Goku training in 10x earth gravity on King Kai’s planet. Or 100x gravity in the space ship. [DBZ reference]) How and/or why that is I have no clue, but it’s better than nothing.

I just realized what the message (A Witch Loses A True Way) really meant. In the finale of “The Owl House,” Luz lost her true way back home.

Watched the finale immediately before I could get potentially spoiled. Now I’ve got this video to help me properly digest everything. Great timing! That said, what an ending. I’m interested in seeing just how things will change going forward. I.e. the dynamics between Eda, Lilith, Luz and King.

My theory : I think that Emperor Belos is a titan in a mechanical body. That’s why he claims to be able to speak to the titans. We always see that gigantic heart behind him, and I think that is Belos’ heart and it’s somehow connected to the body. Now that I’m typing it, it seems like a bad theory, but I’ll just put it out there :)

hey! something really interesting i noticed- when luz was in town looking at the crystal balls, the new had the subtext "first petrification in 30 years." and here, when you analyzed the castle and saw the newly petrified criminals that were caught the week before....do you think belos is petrifying without anyone knowing?? (and eda was for show) or do you think that was just a cameo for cameo's sake?? aalso i think the "day of unity" means belos is planning on unifying the human realm with theirs, like the finale of star vs the forces of evil. he told luz "you probably think i plan on invading the human world- the titans will is not so simple" (that is not exact, its butchered) so he doesnt want to just invade. and he was more or less using the portal as a key to a bigger machine to do something more than make a portal. cause...you already have a portal...whats the use of making it bigger? so it must be something else, like unifying the realms??? i think so. also since eda and lilith are paralells of lumity (except its a different kind of relationship) i think amity isnt going to be on luz's side at first and side with the EC like lilith. but she'll come around like lilith as well. this is probably why we see little reaction or emotion on amity at this time. theres also the possibility it'd be her parents making her side with EC, either way i bet you itll happen!

Matthew Rhys, Belos' voice actor said that Belos was "misunderstood" I developed a theory based on that: Belos is a weirdo just like Eda and Luz. Without the fancy titles and power he has, Belos is essentially the hobo who thinks he can talk to God.

I wonder if there is an abomination portion to Belos. He seemed to use abomination magic alot for the orange tendrils and to do that strange shadow-step like ability. Combined with his strange eye and tech staff, I think he has been using that to replace failing parts of his body. Might even require more magic than normal to these enhancements. When i watched the episode i was glad to see that my theory about Lilith betraying Belos and switching sides with the Owl House gang and her becoming a fugitive was correct, except it had different results, for Lilith may have switched sides and she's technically now a fugitive along with th rest of the Owl House crew, but i thought Lilith might have ended up going on the run but apparently not.

Well, there goes my theory that Amity's family also has a portal to the human world. Now we need to know how in the two worlds Amity knows about Azura. Some people say that Azura may be real and from the isles so the books also exist there, but that doesn't explain how Amity knew about the Azura movie, suggesting she has at least the DVD, and a portable DVD player.

I have a theory about Belos: Belos was created by the titan.Maybe the titan was old or knew he was about to die but had a dream he knew he wouldn’t be able to complete it before he dies. So he used all of his remaining magic he had to create Belos.However because of that,Belos’ body is mostly made of magic. So to both make sure he wouldn’t fall apart or have his real form seen,the titan also used his magic to cover Belos head to toe in armor.He was also able to put his consciousness inside Belos but also gave the magic a personality of its own.With the power of the titan he was easily able to take over and become Emperor.The reason why he wields a technological staff is because since he is made out of magic himself,and eventually if he uses too much of his own magic,he will disappear.Another reason I think he is made out of magic is because eventually his magic starts draining,so he takes the magic of palace men to keep his magic from draining.The reason I think he was able to morph his body like that when he appeared behind Luz is because he is made of magic.But that’s just my theory TLDR:Belos is made of the magic from the titan and has his consciousness

After all the things The Owl House has been showing us through the season, Lumity is more like a filler, becoming less of a priority to me, and the rest is the real juice of what I’d love to keep watching on this show: great storytelling, a villain worth of a great finale, and bunch of tearful moments.

I really loved this show. I love the animation in this show. I loved the very last episode of season 1. I can’t wait for season 2. 💜😉🥰🦉🏠💙

Some quick things I noticed: Luz can use a staff to cast magic without drawing a glyph or a spell circle. On that note, Belos seems to never use spell circles either. Finally, the Owl Beast was far less aggressive at the curse's onset, running away when provoked (while the present day Owl Beast attacks with little-to-no provocation)

I bet the mysterious body guard is emperor's belo's "creator" (with the whole Cyber vibe eye The Nerd Wire mentioned) If not then. . . Belo's son or hUsBaNd? (I'm just stretching it at this point xD)

I think the Day of unity is an anniversary of the day that once many many years ago the The earth and whatever land the boiling isles is on were the same place, but after some people got magic and others didn’t they split the two lands creating one with and one without magic

I'm more than ok with no Lumity action in the finale. What we got of it this season was great, but I think it would've only lessened the tension of Luz' solo mission if Amity was there, unless she was playing an auxillary role like Willow & Gus without directly interacting with Luz.

What if that girl is actually Camilia? Maybe Camilia has finished in some way on the Boiling Isles and started attend Hexside! Then she could have noticed that the Emperor was human (since she's human too) and she was forced to leave! Since she was in the potions track it makes sense to me that she became a doctor. And she's trying to stop Luz fantasies because is the same thing that put her in danger in the past! After all, for what we know, the portal could have been open for years before Eda found out the key... What do you think?

The idea that there are other islands out there which are made from the different body parts of different Titans means that there are even more worlds to explore with different types of magic, locations and races. I predict in the next season we will travel to a literal Skull Island and battle King Kong

Here's what I think happened. Eda, and Lilith lived with the blights, and they were All friends. But ms.blight secretly hated Eda, and convinced Lilith to curse her.

Maybe it's me but like, when gus's dad reported that Eda was gonna get petrified that at the bottom of him it said the first in 30 years but when Luz is going inside the conformatorium, there is like a few statues, even the recent ones. Has the emperor being petrifying witches without the people knowing about it.or was it a mistake.

Given how Belos' staff looks high tech, my guess is that there's going to be a combo of technology and magic in Season 2 and we might see more creations.

Maybe they should find the creator of the curse the person who sold lilith that and find out how he or she made it then reverse it

Luz is really developing. I can see how she’s changed from the beginning to now. They’ve really had deep emotional connections and I don’t know how Luz is going to be able to handle not being able to go home. And in the end of the episode, The Emperor is rebuilding the portal. I think that she’s going to try and steal it to get home. Or, the battle will go into the human world and Luz will have to face her mother.

I think we will eventually find that the Azura stories are based on one of Luz's ancestors who eventually fell in love with a human and went to the human world but enough time has passed that the descendants no longer have a magic bile sac. Which is why Luz is so drawn to the "weird stuff" and made such accurate "guesses" before going through the door in episode 1

As soon as you brought up Emperor man's eye My first thought was his eye reminds me of Sans and Megalovania began blasting in my head

I feel like Eda will get a little bit of her magic back, but not back to full strength, and that Eda and Lilith will start preforming spells together, much like the Blight Twins. But I think it will take a very long time for the magic to build up. And I noticed one detail. Luz kept the key to the door, I feel like this will be brought up again in Season 2.

Anyway, if Luz is going to discover new gliph spells, I have some theories about how she will gain them: Earth: Rock or a quake fissure in the ground Air: The way the wind blows the leaves Water: Waterdrop, puddles or any source of water. Electricity: A burn mark from a lightning Shadow: Using Light Spell, in a similar way Luz finds the Fire Spell’s gliph with the Ice Spell
