I never really understand when people say this. I don't mean to disparage John in any way, but his grammar is far from perfect. Instances like his usage of 'phenomena' to describe a single person come to mind - It should be phenomenon. Again, this really isn't me bashing John as he's certainly very intelligent, but to a linguistics student, it's just very easy to notice his misuse of certain words and structures.

@oof child, not everyone can help how pale their skin tone is. Many can't tan. I for one can't. I'm allergic to the sun. So I would rather be pale than be sick and die. Others just burn horribly instead of tanning. Saying someone is too pale is as ignorant sounding as saying someone is too dark.

I have dark skin and I love coming to watch John's videos. I have a skin care channel and hardly wear makeup at all BUT I still come and watch John's videos. He has an amazing voice and he has a good heart.
