From "Parks & Recreation": a mockumentary series following Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), the deputy director of the Parks and Recreation department in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana. Leslie is determined to improve her small world through her job, despite resistance from Parks Director Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman), an anti-government Libertarian. The series also stars Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari and Retta.

In my subjective opinion they didn't even try to actually work with them as a quirky joke couple; weirder since Anne was supposed to have a habit of adopting her boyfriend's personalities and they did _nothing_ with that. With Mark it made sense since he was a plank of wood, but Tom? I can't remember, did Tom even have an "ex boyfriend box" during that one episode?

If they’d dragged it out over several seasons, I might be annoyed. But it lasted about half a season and they both moved on.

exactly, never understood the vitriolic hatred for this relationship. I got a kick out of it and then it was dissolved. Not every relationship needs to be a season or series-defining thing. Sometimes it's just for fun.

If you look closely the only times Tom actually got close to building a good relationship with Ann was when he let go of his "swag" persona and the real, insecure but sweet Tom came on the surface...

They were truly *Jean-Ralphio voice* the woooOOOOooOOOrst! It made for some great comedic scenes though. And it helped both of their characters grow in different ways. Parks & Rec is the best show

The show made it pretty obvious that the "relationship" stayed plutonic the entire time. Also, 80 degrees is insane for an indoor temp. If my house hits 70 I'm already too hot. I'm rocking a 67-68 during the day and a 64 while I'm sleeping.

Not every tv romance must be heart-moving. This was a hilarious disaster of a relationship that created some hilarious scenes and developed both parties in interesting ways.

This is a case of a couple that kind of had some potential to be cute, but the ended up drunk swerving and hitting a tree, a grandma, and her baby. It was a potentially sweet couple that could have been done well, but went in a horrible direction.

They were the worst because Tom was 1/2 the relationship and Tom is the freaking worst. Sewage Joe is the only other human on Parks and Rec who “might” be a worse human being than Tom. Maybe Tynnifer. But he drove me crazy. Could never figure out how any of those characters could like that POS.

Tom is the worst, therefore anything he's involved in deeply is likely to end up being the worst. Literally the only people on Parks & Rec that are worse than Tom are the comedic villains - Sapersteins, Jamm, Tammy, etc. - but Tom was supposed to be a 'hero.' Take him out of the credits and who would think he's actually a 'good guy.'?

Tom has his own qualities, he was funny and spontaneous, Ann was boring and and monotonous , infact her relationship with chris was awkward and felt fake, there was no chemistry between them. Tom and lucy were perfect though !

I really liked this couple, I thought it was cute and had a lot of potential. They just took it in a horrible direction. I think it would've been nice to see it go well, at least for a while.

But him and Lucy were so cute! And she helped him to actually act natural and learn how to respect her. We see it the most when he proposes and realises that instead of the fancy over the top video he should just ask her outright. It's so sweet.

@@sims2lovealot dude wasted the first time with his obsession with Ron dating his ex, and Ron was nothing short of a gentleman about it all. Then the second time he came to recruit Lucy from another city so he could make moves on her when she had a boyfriend. Man's got boundary issues.

You're not the only one, I actually liked them as a couple too. The problem was that neither Anne nor the writers let her have fun with Tom in their relationship. She was constantly fighting with him, wouldn't try to connect with him, and he she never tried to get in to any of his interests. Which is weird because she would literally get invested in all of her other boyfriends interests and personalities.

I think if they cared enough/wanted them to be endgame they would've evolved and become a good functional couple like Leslie & Ben, but they clearly decided they didn't want them together. I think they would've been a good couple but they didn't mature Tom in time and they never let Ann loosen up w/him which is weird because she dated Andy before hand and Andy was arguably worse

I did not hate this couple. Ann is sweet and kind. Tom is immature and superficial. They contrast each other and there is comedy gold in characters that are starkly contrasted romantically. Not everyone hated this couple as the title of this video says.
