Willie Robertson joins Sadie to talk about the upcoming movie, "The Blind," which follows the story of Sadie's grandparents - Phil & Kay Robertson - in the early years of their marriage and when their lives were transformed by the Gospel. Sadie asks Willie about that early part of his childhood, when his dad wasn't a believer yet, and how Phil and Miss Kay's decision to follow the Lord quite literally changed their family's trajectory. Willie and Sadie challenge us to find ourselves in the film's story: Are you the person praying for someone in your life who's not in a good place? Is your marriage in trouble? Are you sharing the Gospel with someone in your life again and again but not seeing them change their mind? Ministry is everywhere and can be anything, big or small! For some it means writing books, speaking all over the world to large audiences, but for others, it can be simple acts of kindness and grace for anyone we encounter throughout the day. And remember NO ONE is outside of God's love - never give up on anyone and let the Holy Spirit work on their hearts! Watch "The Blind" in theaters starting September 28. As a single parent raising 2 young boys who are adults now. I felt abandoned and helpless because their father didn't want to support us. Thank God for family who let us live with them but could not help financially. I was on welfare for a year and prayed to God to help me. I met a christian co-worker who would witness to me daily and I went with his family to a christian church. It was the first time I attended a christian service. I immediately felt the holy spirit and a week later gave my life to the Lord. My life changed immediately and I got a good paying job and was able to get an apartment and support my sons on my own. They were raised in church and attended youth ministry until they were adults. God loves us so much that he desires us to surrender everything to him and he will be in control of our broken lives. He is not willing that none should perish but all come to repentance. All glory to God.

Also I want y’all to know, my Dad passed in his sleep in 2021, and we were super close. And one of our many memories was whenever him and I would watch Duck Dynasty together ❤ he loved Phil and could relate to him. And all the fam. Brought us so much laughter and we loved the prayers at the end 🙏 so whenever I watch any of y’all, I think of my pops ❤ love y’all so much!!! PTL for each of you.

This is really precious to have a father and a daughter talking about this. I never miss an episode of Phil’s Unashamed podcast. Phil talks about how ashamed he is of his past life. I’m sure it’s difficult seeing it come to life being he’s so far removed from the man he was back then. However, like you two are saying, millions of people have been touched by him becoming a follower of the Almighty One❤. Proof that God works in mysterious ways.

I am always astounded by how Our Heavenly Father works in each and every one of our lives. My husband ( who recently has been reading the Bible and learning about Jesus) and I went to see The Blind. What a beautiful testimony of God's love and steadfastness. My husband said upon leaving the movie "I am so thankful I met you because I would never have known I could have a personal relationship with Jesus." I was previously married for 32 years to a wonderful man of God. He went on to be with the Lord in 2015. God has restored my life in ways I could not have imagined or scripted. HalleluYah 🙌🕊️💕. For anyone going through a tough time hang in there the Lord is working things out for you.

It is very important for that “life change” to happen Willie cause I can tell you that “life change” happened for me, however, it did not happen for my kid’s dad and it has destroyed their lives. The life your dad Phil walked away from, repented of and thankfully gave his life to Jesus, could have destroyed your life. Also I always feel sorry for Phil cause I watch him live it over and over again when certain ones talk about it. I am grateful for how compassionate Al is with your dad. Thank you Phil for praying at the end of each episode of DD. My boys and I were so broken, I would cry to hear a man, a father, pray with his family. Thank you Phil for not abandoning them. Look at how Jesus has used you, wow. To quote Charles Stanley “obey God and leave all the consequences to Him”.

Page 3 of 3) from John about God’s peace, presence and power. He treats every family as it would be our family. God gave him this ability. He averages 70-75 funerals a year; many now are family members of past funerals bc Pastor Hanson is who they ask for. He had a Mama who prayed that God would give her a son & she’d give him to God. I’m blessed to be his wife & Mama to our 3 sons 45 yrs now. ❤ Psalm91

This came up on my YT ventures this evening. I am glad I took the time to watch, and I did sub. I look forward to watching the movie of your family's past. No doubt it will be so inspirational for many! With faith we can overcome so much. People need to understand that you do not need to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth to find success at many levels. So many generations have not typically had God in school or their lives, and so many haven't even had the opportunity to be introduced to our Lord and Saviour. Their parents never took them to church or discussed faith with them. This movie may be just what they need to realize that you can start from nothing and find faith and a bright future.

Such a genuine family! Willie’s story of waking up late and almost messing up the TV show brought so much comfort to me because I struggle with perfectionism and control so much. I have this deep, constant feeling that I’m going to majorly mess things up or ruin my life or lose out on what God is doing in me because I’ll miss it somehow or make a mistake or lose control. To hear someone live out “my worst fear” and have it be one of the best things to happen to them, and even him recalling the story laughing about it is so comforting to hear.
