Her role in "The Nanny" (1965) is fantastic. Super creepy and tender at the same time. It is not a very known movie of hers, but she used to cite it as one of her best films.

'She will be remembered as a GREAT actress. She was an absolutely beautiful woman when she was young. My mom and I used to watch her movies every Sunday afternoon. She was my mom's favorite actress. I admired her for standing up for what she thought was right.

In the early 1970s, one night I ended up with a front row seat to "An Evening with Bette Davis", one of a series of retrospectives/Q&A sessions with Hollywood legends. "Baby Jane" was about all I knew about her going in, but during the lengthy film montage, I fell in love. Then she came out. And mesmerized the audience.

I started watching Bette Davis in TCM. I was impressed not only by her acting but also unlike most actresses, she constantly challenged herself by taking up all kinds of roles, the good, the bad, the beautiful and the homely characters. Often, I watch a movie just because of her.
