Honestly the historical path for England I found to be far more fun than the Angevin path. Maybe I'm vanilla AF, but it just has far more variety, while the Angevin path is more "conquer this, turn it into a subject", on repeat.

I like to mix them. Basically go Angevin with exploration and colonise early.

@@azh698Infrastructure and aristocratic are really good openers for tall colonial gameplay as Angevin. Plus they have the policy for 10% gov capacity. The go into expo/expand.

Play as Scotland, form Ireland, then flip to GB with Scottish identity. Only way to fix history and not have a cringe England game

18:50 You can do this mission right away by just releasing Normandy as a vassal too & giving them Alencon. You lose the cores, but if you just want to not involve yourself with Pooropeans for roleplay reasons that's an option.

Oh we've got plenty of food. Mici(mititei), mămăligă, tobă, ciorbă, tochitură, cozonac, caltaboș, sarmale, ardei umpluți etc. Sure, a lot of them are inspired from the Turks, Greeks, Austrians or Hungarians (though there's plenty of original ones), but what else can you expect when Romanians have been under foreign rule for centuries? What excuse do the English have?

@@darkwolff2622 Northumbrian Angles, to be specific - but there's quite literally as little left of that city today as there is of the 1st century Gododdin town of Eidyn. also believed to have been in the proximity of modern Edinburgh. Hell, we have more evidence of the bronze age settlements in the area than we do of either of those! Even as someone who would see the current UK split apart, I have no qualm in saying straight: The city we see today was *British* built.

Did you also get yours in red? I got mine in red, although I can't really confirm the colour for sure... It is also intangible, which prevents any type of accident! All in all this has been very profitable indeed. Ludi even gave back my wallet which he stole a few videos ago.

Cumbria is known as that as it is "fellow countrymen (Cum-ri)" in old celtic bastardised into Anglo-Saxon English... which is why it is similar to the Welsh term for Wales "Cymru"

The reason people don't is because it gives France a CB on Provence and people don't like letting France advance so quickly

@@harku123 France will still have a truce with them for at least 5 years anyway. They can easily get a CB in that time. Also keeping your core on Maine for the eventual reconquest is not worth 1 stability imo.

The coastal forts england starts in in france are really good because you can transport a stack of units on them using transports and easily wipe the siegeing army.

I do like the extra input into the video, I knew about French using cannons during Hundred years war (especially at the final years of it) but didn't know England disbanded their army, I guess there was a reason why the regent who would of been in charge while Henry VI was young did this or England was scarred from being beaten by a French pious peasant girl in armour

Ludi, is there a specific reason you made your flagship a heavy ship? Won't that slow down your entire fleet? I usually make my trade flagship a tradeship.

big ship go pewpew. I made it a heavy cause I knew i'd have fights in the early campaign, so having that with the starting heavies would be enough, then round late 1400s I'd replace it with a light one
