@@geetslys unfortunately, the sith that aren't "bad" are some of the weakest ones, and tend to get quickly killed or recruited by those that are.

@@nameynamename3758 using the connections he had with high society types, he would have been able to introduce his economic planning machines into Republic administrative functions, corporate decision-making, and diplomatic efforts to integrate more if the galaxy into the Republic. Increasing the material comfort of the lower strata of many planets sould have helped their rulers maintain power, as compared to spending on internal security. Perhaps the fading relevance of the Jedi Order could've been exploited by another plan when Tenebrous' economy is in effect

@@unknownuser6940 Hate and Pain are like steroids. They give you that immense boost but at a cost. Where using the more peaceful sides of emotions would grant you full array of the rest of the force. The Jedi have willfully cut themselves off from the most potent and lethal aspects of the force, while the sith cut themselves off from the more defensive and healing sides of the force. A war between a group of glass cannons vs tanks. The plan to use all of the emotion spectrum by sith standards would be ingenious. Access to all the powers and supercharge them with raw unfettered emotion.

This Bith is literally just trying to recreate what the Rakatan did combining their technology with the force except less good. Also the average person in the galaxy didn't differentiate from Jedi and Sith whatsoever.

They'd be more then a little concerned with him trying to create DARKSIDE Supercomputer. The second Great Schism, the Hundred Year Darkness, the schism that lead to the birth of the Sith was fought over his predecessors doing the same exact thing: creating darkside beings. The Jedi would step in to prevent the creation of Darth Hal9000.

That's....essentially what Palpatine did: he engineered the Clone Wars as a massive crisis that the Jedi were woefully unable to solve, then he swooped in and saved the galaxy from the destruction that came with war by ending it

Speaking of the Rakata, can you imagine if he had found and reverse-engineered some of their technology? If your goal is to eliminate scarcity, a version of the Star Forge that produces civilian goods instead of warships is a huge boost. Of course, there’s also the fact that the Star Forge corrupts the user, but that flaw is kind of inherent in his plan to use Dark Side-powered technology.

@@Iknowtoomuchable I'd say not necessarily, although used to the extent needed for this plan, it might be. The dark side can be used with minimal corruption of a person as proven by dooku, but his minimal use of it is likely the major factor. Tenebrus would definately not have that option, although if he were to focus the dark side exclusively for essential use to his plan and use the light side any other time, he may be able to achieve some compromise with a lesser degree of corruption than the likes of sidious or the rakata. Whether a sith could manage to do that or not... thats another issue entirely.

Yeah, honestly. I don't recall this idea from legends, but it's also been a while since I read the plagieus book. But it sounds like he was doing a grey jedi kinda vibe. Greater good by whatever means. If vivectus (iirc) had been his apprentice it would have been a whole different galaxy.

Jedi were meant to be keepers of the peace and serve the force’s will. Sith wanted power, in politics, in the dark side of the force, in combat etc. He wanted to make the entire galaxy subservient to his supercomputer. So achieving power in a similar way Sideous made the galaxy bow down to the galactic empire. But without committing genoside.

Not really. They can just undo their work and corrupt the Galaxy they’ve attacked and taken over.

The Rakatan infinite empire used dark side force to operate their technology and it was the most advanced to this day. Only problem was the technology had a knack for corrupting it's users.. so probably wouldn't have worked out in the long run

Imagine grievous mass-produced

The Sith came into being when the Jedi waged war on their members that were experimenting with the darkside to alter life. They wouldn't hesitate to fight a Sith that was trying to create a synthetic darkside entity. And the moment Darth Hal9000 starts acting on its Darkside connection, Darth Tenebrous himself might start wanting the Jedi to succeed, if only to save him from his own creation.

Theoretically? Perhaps. Practically? Not so sure. If this supposed supercomputer is powered by the dark side, who's to say it won't turn on Tenebrous or the masses ala Skynet from Terminator or the Leviathans' A.I from Mass Effect? The Force may not be directly active but it does retaliate in subtle ways. Plagueis trying to make his existence known throughout the Galaxy and impact its denizens? The Force retreats and causes horrifying diseases to Plagueis' creations killing them. Plagueis and Palpatine causing an imbalance in the Force itself resulting in a cosmic shift to the dark side? The Force creates the "Chosen One" to restore said balance. Heck, Tenebrous' own plan messed him up royally. He mutated his own midichlorians into maxichlorians in order to survive his own physical death and possess Plagueis with the intent of possessing and becoming Anakin Skywalker. For all his intellect, planning and calculation he didn't foresee that his maxichlorians would mutate even further and trap him in an endless loop relieving his death. If the Force could inflict such a horrific punishment upon him for an isolated event who's to say it can't or won't do worse if he tried to commercialize it on a galactic scale?

I am pretty sure that while midichlorians were meant to be a story device, I do not think they were meant to be that immensely important to the plot of the prequels. They always wound up being immensely overblown in criticism of the prequels but they were simply a reason for Qui-gon to pursue freeing Anakin. Though yeah, when you got a clearly more science driven character then its a lot easier to expand on the whole midichlorian story device in meaningful ways.
