Easier way to find a wobble is spin them with a broadhead on the shaft and just turn your insert to find the sweet spot.

If you can get a vinyl cutter you can make your own wraps and customize the size. Multiple dozen per sheet of vinyl. 1.99 per sheet

The price of the ones from shops/businesses is like ridiculously insane.

If you clean the INSIDE OF THE SHAFT at each end with 91% alcohol to remove dust, carbon etc the adhesives will bond better. I also use the low temp blue hot melt on inserts. I very very seldom loose an insert.
@jimmyjones24262 жыл бұрын
Jesse Broadwater and now Chris Bee say DO NOT clean arrows internally. Apparently the carbon dust from the arrow saw makes the bond better. I’m no expert but I’d bet my dick that Jesse Broadwater and Chris Bee have glued more inserts than most of us put together 🤙🏼

Start shooting your arrows before you fletch them. That away you can nock tune all of them, then fletch accordingly. Also, it would be a good idea to shoot the arrows full length then start cutting, this will help give you the best spine. Happy shooting
@jeffcordero_3 жыл бұрын
I did start with a longer arrow when I was testing last year and that’s how I knew what to cut them to for this video. I’ve nock tuned in the past. I find it to be helpful but didn’t put it in this video. Maybe for another video I can go into nock tuning.

I agree with the knock tuning. Cutting the arrows to find the correct spline is for wooden trad arrows. Although, I saw Ranch Fairy do it with a trad bow & carbons. With carbons the spine is on the arrow. Happy Hunting!

instead of the nock on pad get a self healing cutting mat for fabrics. much better mat and you can cut/etc on it. Also go to a vinyl shop ask them for a 5 foot roll of 6" vinyl, bring in a arrow wrap. Usually costs like 20 bucks at most for top quality vinyl and you can get it in whatever colour you want. Bring it home cut it to wrap widths you need and voila, you have a lot of wraps for very little investment. For glue try gorilla glue with the blue cap, impact resistant. I find it works a lot better then AAE, Gold tip/etc.

Thats a good idea on buying decal vinyl in bulk. Once I drain this bottle of the Max Bond glue i want to try something else. Just using up what I got right now. Thanks for the tips!
@jimmyjones24262 жыл бұрын
Jeff Cordero I used to use AAE Max Bond - it was good. Went to G5 Blue Glue - it was good as long as the bottle was fresh. Then I went to Loctite 401. As good (if not better) than the others I’ve tried, half the price and you can buy it every where! Winner

In a previous video, you said you would show how you got to 100gr insert weight using ethics archery. Then in this video, you showed them in the intro but didn’t tell how you got 100gr. I’ve been looking for 100gr insert and end cap from ethics and best I could do is 90gr. How did you get 100gr?
@jeffcordero_2 жыл бұрын
you are correct I did not. What I did was take one of the aluminum posts and cut it at the 105g line and used my Dremel and kept taking a little of material off and weighing it until I reached my desired 100g's. The 100g's with the aluminum post and the stainless sleeve. I then uses that post as my template and marked all the others with a Sharpe for my new "100g" custom cut line. Not long after I made this video I just cut them at the 105 line and call it good, its more work for very little gain.

Newbie arrow fletching question. Why don’t you put the vanes closer to the nock?
@jeffcordero_3 жыл бұрын
Good question, what can happen if you put the vanes too close to the nock you run the risk of contacting them with your jaw at full draw when your anchoring your shot. Any facial pressure can cause inconsistencies in arrow flight and tuning issues.
@17cjulian3 жыл бұрын

If I’m looking for a smaller vane for a 4 fletch application. I’m choosing heat vanes. Larger vanes I go with the AAE max stealth’s

weeeeell....... wheres the rest of the arrow build bud?? this was just an amature fletching job..... spent more time on editing for the intro than the actual suggested content..... no info about the completed arrow weight.. length of arrow... arrow spine... draw weight of the bow...... insert weights..... field tip weights... info on how the arrow flies with different field tip weights and how that directly affects the accuracy of your build..... should somebody who shares the same draw length and is shooting similar poundage want to recreate your build, theres NO SPECS to use as a base line in their own build.
