Thinking about what you would consider to be your perfect gold and silver stack will help you with analyzing what purchases to make in the present. We often also forget about our other investments outside of gold and silver and those also should be considered when creating our perfect stack in our mind. My perfect gold stack would have a base of American gold eagles. I enjoy collecting fractional American gold eagles in 1/10th ounce and 1/4th ounce sizes. Both the 1/10 and 1/4 oz American gold eagles can be stacked in tubes of 20 and take up very little space. After having a base of American gold eagles I would move on to collecting the 1/10 ounce Perth mint gold coins. We collect the 1/10 oz lunar series coins every year in addition to the 1/10 oz Perth mint kangaroo coins. I also would include the kookabura coins in my perfect stack even though I can't afford to currently collect them in my stack.
The perfect silver stack in my eyes has a full monster box of American silver eagles. Of course in my perfect stack I would want a complete collection of all my favorite Perth mint coins: Silver Koala's, Silver Kookaburra's, and Silver Luner series coins. Beyond these Perth Mint coins I would also want to stack a complete collection of 1oz or 30g Chinese silver panda coins. I know some people avoid stacking these coins for geopolitical reasons but I had started my collection a long time ago and plan to continue stacking them into the future. Beyond these silver collections I only would collect a few numismatic coins special to my family because silver can get quite bulky and take up a lot of storage room.
