The Seibu Department Store in Ikebukuro, which I introduced in the video, is currently undergoing partial renovations. Consequently, Karukaya, the udon restaurant I mentioned in the video, has closed down. I really wanted everyone to try that delicious udon, but unfortunately, it’s no longer available.

@@Sam_0108Hi Sam-san, or should I say Frieren-sama? I'm sorry it took me so long to notice your comment and reply to you. It's really unfortunate about that udon restaurant, but there are plenty of other great places to eat in Ikebukuro that you can try. If you like udon, I recommend "Musashino Enza," located in Shakujii Park, which is about a 10-minute train ride from Ikebukuro. @@Sam_0108 I'm not sure what type of cuisine you'd like to try, so I'll recommend some affordable and delicious Japanese restaurants: tabelog.com/tokyo/A1305/A130501/13165291/ toriton-kita1.jp/shop/ikebukuro/ The second place gets extremely crowded, so it's best to line up before it opens. If you want to search for something specific, try searching in Japanese with the name of the cuisine you want + "おすすめ" + "池袋" and then translate the search results!😉

if you don't mind , please mention Bakudan-yaki Honpo Ikebukuro next time, Since I visited Tokyo June 2017, I had been dreaming to have the giant takoyakis again.

Ok, I was impressed by the former girls school designed by Frank Lloyd Wright! Stunning! And it's sad to say, many of his buildings here in the states are falling into disrepair. So it's very nice to see it in such wonderful shape! And not only that, but he designed the hotel as well. Amazing. As always, thanks so much for the wonderful videos you share with us

Will be staying in Ikebukuro sometime next year. Apart from the Pokemon store and the Shonen park I never really digged the area when I went there few years back. Your video is all I was looking for. Will probably try and add most of those place for my trip (especially the food places and the gardens ❤️) Really feels like you're sharing hidden gems. Thank you for your informative video and all the recommendations you kindly shared. We followed your suggestions and had a wonderful day in Ikebukuro. The view from the observation deck was breathtaking. The Ike bus was an excellent way to explore this beautiful part of Tokyo which is largely unknown to most tourists visiting the city.

No , thats just a standard American HO scale model train . I do plan on getting a short N scale ( the smaller train ) Yamanote line to run on it sometimes though .

Please visit Ikebukuro (maybe Bic Camera?) again to get the N scale Yamanote Line 😆.

The bus is so adorable! Is there any temple or shrine around Ikebukuro? that nears by the bus station? I am visiting Tokyo next month, and Ikebukuro is on my list!

Wooow😊😊Chi-san!! , you're coming to Japan next month? That's fantastic! I recommend visiting the Kishimojin Shrine. It's about a 10-minute walk from the Ikebukuro station. Unfortunately, it's not part of the Ikebus route. However, Ikebus operates tours on Saturdays and Sundays! You can visit Kishimojin Shrine and other famous places in Ikebukuro with the Ikebus. This tour is the east course and takes place in the morning (午前東コース) also, the price is 1,000 yen. (In October, tours are available on Saturdays and Sundays except for the 21st and 22nd.) Please search for "イケバスアルカトルツアー" Kishimojin is also featured in my video "Free Things to Do in Tokyo Part 2". So please check it out if you like.😉😉Have a wonderful trip!

@@chihoang8306 For English to Japanese conversational translation, DeepL is more accurate than Google👍 Google Lens is also useful. Even Japanese people get lost at train stations and on the subway, so scheduling your trip with plenty of time to spare is a good idea😉 Don't forget to download a transit app to your phone
