Super Circuit is very underrated. I honestly really enjoy the controls. Like, yeah, they take a bit to get used to, but once you get used to them, it's a blast, especially on Time Trials with all the crazy shortcuts the game has. I mean, the shortcuts in this game would never appear in modern Mario Kart games. I mean you got the ramp skips on Cheese Land and Ribbon Road, the overpowered shortcuts on Cheep Cheep Island and Broken Pier, the risky bridge shortcuts on the ghost tracks, like damn. And there's barely any boring offroad cuts, these shortcuts are all different from each other, and vary in difficulty. But we can't talk shortcuts without mentioning Rainbow Road, also known as Shortcuts: The Track from Mario Kart: Super Circuit for Game Boy Advance.

Really nice video! I’m happy Double Dash secured its placement in 3rd. Also am happy about Wii in 2nd and 8 Deluxe in 1st but those were pretty obvious in advance I think.

Mario kart ds not being #1 is criminal

Literally the only thing that I would change in this list is I would put Super Circuit over Mario Kart 64. But 64 is over Super Circuit for a reason, and that of course is because of its amazing battle mode that is in my opinion, the best in the series. Double Dash will forever be my favorite in the series despite not having nostalgia for it, but it just doesn’t have the unfairness of Wii or the absurd track count as 8 Deluxe. And Mario Kart Wii, being my second favorite game in the series, is incredible. Not only being the most nostalgic for me just like everyone else, but also being the most skill based and luck based at the same time makes it a very awesome game in the series. But 8 Deluxe just improved on everything. Great job gentlemen, we have made the most accurate Mario Kart list of all time

If I had to do a tier list it would be: Elimination (do not enter the list): The weird vr game and mk8, one is not realy a full expirience and the other one is mk8d but with the worst battle mode in the series and with less content. 12 - Mk Arcade Gp - Its just a average Mk expirience but on the arcades and with pacman, witch is very cool but, its realy just that. 11 - Mk Arcade Gp 2 - Just the first game but with more content. 10 - Mk Arcade Dx - Same thing 9 - Super Mk - Revolutionary but realy, REALY bad to play, it did not in any capacity aged well, just play it to know how it was and never play it again trust me, its just notnwort it, but it still had more inpact then Mk Gp so I gotta put it higher, plus the battle mode is still better then the one on Mk8 8 - Mk Tour - At the start it was a cheap gacha game but these days is actualy a valid game, has a LOT of maps, characters, mii costumes, gliders and karts, plus it is free, can be played on your phone and you dont need the nintendo online to play it online, its a ok game with trash design and scummy money gaining tacktics but in the end of the day is still mk mobile edition. 7 - Mk Super Circuit - Its simple to discribe this one, its controls are trash but the maos are realy good, still worth to play, yes the controls are kinda jank but they are usable (diferently from Super Mk) 6 - Mk 64 - Realy defined the Mk expirience, but, for some reason most of the tracks feel like fan made maps, even to its era its not that great, diddy kong racing is there yk, but hey, its still a valid game with valid controls and it has the train map so im good with it. 5 - Mk 7 - Starting from here the games are ALL 9/10 or higher, Mk 7 while easaly being the most forgetable game in the series, its dtill an incredible game, is badicly 8 without anti gravity for the 3ds, and it also has the best Retro selection of any Mk, and also the best one overhaul, Id even argue it does not have even one bad track, pkus it has a 1 person version of the barrel train kart so thats a plus in my book. 4 - Mk Ds - First of, this game lets you make yoyr own emblem witch is so simple but so cool at the same time, it introduced my boy Dry bones, It had the old drift AND had the wakiest selection of karts of any game! It also had mission mode and the imo second best battle mode only behind Mk 64, listen to me, I didnt even grow up with this one, Mk Ds Is genuingly incredible and, I would rank this one and literaly all the ones above in the same spot, all of these are great and you NEED to play them, heck, 100%, these are some of the biggest bangers Big N has ever created. 3 - Mk Wii - Hear me out, I know this game is a buggy mess and extremly unbalanced, but, that is quite the beauty of it tk, I like to imagine Mk Wii and the Melee of the Mk series, both of them are COMPLETLY unbalanced and realy, REALY buggy, but, that is what makes the game so awesome, aside from the bikes and banger maps, Mk Wii has and will always be a very actuve game, just like Melee the comunity is comparable to the current games of the respective franchises, and while both are buggy and unbalanced the comunity is able to make good of that part of the game, plus, every human being has a nintendo wii, so by extencion almost everyone has a copy of this masterpiece. So yeah, I might be byased but, I love this game, to me and very others it is able to be both nostalgic, fun and realy competitive, this game will always have a special place in my heart. 2 - Mk Double Dash - So, if we compare every Mk game, the only one that you realy have a reason to come back is 8 and double dash, DD never got his main mechanic back in any game plus my second favorite boy, Paratroopa is stuck in this game. Jokes aside, Mk Doubke Dash is extremly fun, very unique and has good controls, I love the track and especialy kart design in this game, things such as the barrel train (my favorite kart in the whole series) bullet kart or something like that, parade kart, para wing, yoshi kart, birdo kart, etc, have such a unique felling, the design is realy on point, plus the special items each character has, also the baby park on this game is the best version cause of the items, is pure chaos. But anyways, just play DD, its realy fun, unique and good loking, a must play. 1 - Mk 8 Deluxe - The definitive Mk expirience, asside from some bad dlc courses its always top quality and fun, has the best control, and the most charavters, maps and custumizations in mainline Mk, I do not need to say more about this game, you KNOW why its here

Even growing up with Mario Kart Wii I can agree with some of this list quite a bit 8 deluxe is my favorite of the series with Wii being 2nd, tour being 3rd, double dash 4th, ds being 5th, 3ds being 6th, 64 being 7th, super circuit being 8th, super Mario Kart being 9th and the other games being below.

Was totally expecting #1 The starman part was so hilarious. But 96 polished tracks? Glazing a little maybe? Most of them still look good but theres the obvious outliers from the bcp.

I would personally put 7 above DS. And while 8D might objectively be the best, I still prefer 7. Yeah yeah, I know. 7 has no mission mode, no vs mode, and no Waluigi. Battle mode is FINE. It is FUNCTIONAL. No Waluigi? Young me never cared, grown up me doesn’t mind. I’m a metal Mario man myself. The course selection more than makes up for lack of vs mode. None of the courses are downright bad. So I can enter any Grand Prix knowing I’m going to have at least a decent time on every course (something I cannot say for DS or 8D). And I also just generally prefer 7’s controls. So yeah, 7 is underrated and overhated.

The arcade Mario karts are so overrated. They control like shit and you can only get 3 items per race. Oh and those games are worse than smk when it comes to recycling tracks, bc this time they recycled the bloody layouts as well and just added a slightly different colour pallet and weather. And also, all 3 games have bad character rosters.

12:26 Also, I think Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's controls are way more bland than in MKWii. In MKWii, every course felt like a fricking roller coaster. DK Summit, DK Mountain, Rainbow Road, Mushroom Gorge, or Wario's Gold Mine felt even more like a thrill ride than their Mario Kart 8 Deluxe version, despite MKWii not having 200cc. Plus, since we had MK8 for 10 years now, this game is genuinely frustrating because we haven't got any Mario Kart 9 game (and no, before you ask, Tour isn't Mario Kart 9) in a decade. Do you realize how long it is? Imagine how you were doing 10 years ago. Imagine how many games franchises like Kirby or Pokémon have realized in this time period. As someone who had this game on the Wii U, this kinda drags 8DX down because of what it represents in the series. Yeah, it has 96 courses, but frankly, I'm not gonna hate on the BCP, but this DLC still has a fair amount of ugly courses. That's why for me, Wii gets the edge.

Something about mario kart 8 deluxe feels wrong, something is missing from that entry, I would put it at like fifth and at best third, but it is FAR from first. I mean it's roster is like 50% koopaling and while it's still an AMAZING game, it just feels so soulless. I am also not a fan of its leitmotif, Wii is clearly #1; too bad Wii has that hideous bloom effect. I'd say MK8 deluxe is HIGHLY overrated and I don't see a reason to play it(it's boring).
