We bought the BEST vehicle, a Peugeot Partner for a micro camper conversion. We sold our old Citroen BERLINGO as it had too many problems. We plan to sleep in our micro camper using a boot jump which we bought for the Citroen BERLINGO. For weekends away hiking across UK.

We have a 2011 Berlingo which is the same body shape. On ours we’ve fitted a diesel heater under the front passenger seat. We have also recently installed solar which took 5 minutes to install! It’s a non permanent set up as it’s also my daily vehicle. It can be installed and uninstalled literally in 2 minutes.

Very nice 👌 Looks great. We've also got a Partner for the same purpose. We've got everything we need now, just a case of getting a nice day when we're off, bringing it all together and getting it all set up, to make sure everything fits/works etc Roll on summer 😁

100% can’t wait for summer. We just need a couple more bits, window covers and maybe a heater then we off, hopefully in a couple of weeks 👌

Are you going to make your window covers or buy them? I made ours, out of a couple of those reflective windscreen shields. Made paper templates, drew round, cut them out and reinforced with those interlocking foam floor tiles. Worked a treat and a 1/4 of the price of pre-made ones 👌👍👍

We bought our partner teepee in 2015 and had an Amdro boot jump. We used it for 2 years and then moved up to a 6m motorhome. We still have the car and it’s been the best car I’ve ever bought. Look forward to watching your adventures. Take care Gill

I've just bought a 2016 Citroen Berlingo named Betty to use as a micro camper for now I'm just going to put z bed in the back and other camping stuff the electric lead through the window and see how it goes i got the window blinds from Amazon and they seem very good I have though been refused by 1 camp site as it's not a proper camper van hopefully it's just a one off as I've managed to book a few sites already and look forward to getting away the couple of weeks I've had mine they are very comfortable to drive and economical as well good luck with yours I'm sure you will enjoy it

Had two Berlingos and now have the Tepee. Apart from the name badge they seem to be the same car. The Berlingos were very reliable. However a fuel injector in the Tepee had to be replaced last week.

Excellent blog...if your doin a run over the channel can i suggest a couple campsites ..one is ten miles from channel tunnel this side ,and then one in Belgium nr Antwerp,the other is 8 miles from Amsterdam ,with its own tram connection to city centre,this ould make an ideal 1st trip

Hi Graeme. You’ve found a bargain vehicle ready for conversion into a micro-camper. I know you said to went on Autotrader but I’d really appreciate your advice for finding a similar age vehicle with such reasonable mileage. I live full time in my Peugeot expert, thanks to a greedy slum land lord. Be mindful of the additive. On the expert there’s an additive reservoirs behind the offside rear wheel. It requires specialist tools to service and refill. This is something I did not know and now needs expensive repairs. Mine also needs z clutch and some other bits too so a couple grand all in all.

How do you know if the additive is low? Sorry, probably a stupid question.

@@ourmicroadventures it’s a good question and when I know I’ll let you know lol. My engine started loosing power and a fault light came up regarding partical filter in danger of becoming blocked

@@ourmicroadventuresare they talking about the adblue that helps reduce the diesel emissions? On the Partner the adblue fill cap is right next to the diesel filler under the fuel flap (sort of above the wheel arch I suppose). My 2015 model has the information screen on the centre console that will give you a countdown from 1500 miles before the adblue needs topping up. Couldn't see if yours had the screen but, if not, there will be an equivalent notification on the dashboard.

No specialist tools required and adblue can be bought in supermarkets! (This was all new to me, last diesel was a 2002 Peugeot Partner) Great vehicles!
