1Year Later Correction: Something many, many people in the fandom misinterpreted (myself included) is the Louis/Subaru thing. It's not Louis that was wandering around the tower, that was in fact Subaru with his memories trapped in the Hall of Memories. A lot of people have been going through my Arc 6 videos again recently, and I wanted to put out this correction for people watching in the future. Louis was simply inside of Subaru was a Witch Factor as he went along his journey, attempting to break him and turn him into two separate people.

There's so much that's just amazing about this arc but that one line after all the stuff Juluis has gone through 12:43, "Maybe I'll challenge Reinhard next," just made me see Juluis completely differently! Subaru had the gluttony witch factor when he entered the cave and smelled the witch factor. Pretty sure gluttony factor allows you to smell the witch miasma as a sweet smell since witch of gluttony did say Subaru smelled delicious.

It's just about a given that patrache journeyed with flugel, Hoshin, satella, Reid and volcanica. Also, a dog in Flanders is taught in Japanese high schools so it could have been more of Tappei trying to show the readers that flugel and Subaru are from the same rough time period on earth.

From what I remember 4 out of the 6 handprints were from a male, there were 2 female handprints. I might be wrong tho. Subaru’s phone alarm is actually from a old movie called “Dog of Flanders” and there is a city called “Flanders” also Patrashe is a character in that show.

you know whats crazy is some people dont like subaru losing his memories because they think it ruins the pacing. i remember a lot people in the community trying to criticize it because of that, even Ice (i love him tho hes so important to the community). But you brought it up very well. Him losing his memories is so integral to the themes of this arc. About identity and such. Its damn near necessary and adds another interesting layer onto whats going on. Even tho Re Zero does have retarded anime shit here and there, Tappei never goes into a truly degenerate path with it. Yea characters are introduced as a “harem” for Subaru seemingly but its completely subverted from how you think. Its not like other anime thats self aware where they say “haha anime does this, this is so dumb, but we’re still doing it”. Re Zero never commits into it, its tropes to attract typical anime fans but betray their expectations. Its smart from Tappei, because he understands the anime community very well. He doesn’t want to just tell a good, but different story. He wants people to be invested, even ones who normally dont like stories with protags like subaru

What do you think about similarities in Ram's and Sekhmet's backstories? They both from a non-human villages, Ram - oni, Sekhmet - giants. Both were expected to be a god of a oni/giants, elders completed rituals to make it happen, but in the result both were born incomplete: Ram without a second horn/Sekhmet to small to be a giant. Still they both strongest characters in the entire series.

Well, Arc 7 might not live up to the expectations because it has been the most controversial arc so far. Without spoiling much, I have to say that its events are all over the place.

arc 6 was so good but the Subaru bit was the best pay off of development I've ever seen. If even Subaru can love himself Afterall the years of self hating sacrificing then we can too. At least until garbage arc 7 bullshit.
