What an awesome time you must have had seeing those owls up close like that. The Owl box you designed is beautiful, the way you perfect things and figure out better ways for the nest boxes to be made shows just how genuine you are about these creations. Your dedication to the birds having an as best home to raise their babies in is wonderful. I can't wait to show this video to Jamie later, and I hope some owls take an interest in the ones you made. Since about 2017 we've been getting Saw-whet Owls here, all new, and the last I heard they were confirmed breeding here. I've yet to have any luck seeing one but that doesn't mean one isn't around somewhere. Keep up the great work!

That evening with the owls sounds like an amazing time! I’m glad that you had the opportunity to partake in the program. I’m sure the wildlife center will be blown away by your owl house as there is nobody in the USA that makes houses anywhere close to the quality that you build to.

I think the trail cam was a fantastic idea. Have you ever thought about one of those little solar panels that’s smaller than a piece of notebook paper to use as a battery maintainer for equipment that could possibly transmit images out of storage to another device? The reason I ask is because in Iowa and Missouri there are a bunch of bald eagles and there are a couple of locations that have 24/ 7 live feeds of the eagle nests. You might be able to boost awareness AND get donor support with streaming videos of baby owls

I have used solar panels on my Bluebird houses. Which working ok but was in the shade enough that at times it wouldn't charge the battery enough. I like the idea of streaming but so far I haven't made that happen. Cornell Lab of Ornithology has videos of eagle and owl nests.
