okay, idk if it's only me, but when i watch studio ghibli's movies i feel like i'm dreaming. it happened for the first time with spirited away; it was late night, i had really few lights in my room and it was raining outside. I finished it and i almost cried. it gave me such a nostalgic feeling of some place i've never been to, and it felt like i just woke up from the most beautiful dream i've ever had, and those tears were a mix of sadness, because i knew that what i felt wasn't real, and a kinda malinconic happiness because of the ending. probably the best feeling ever. (i tried my best to explain it but its hard doe 😭)

Also I’m not trying to be biased cause I’m an Aries but my favorite films are Howls, The cat returns, and Marnie.

As a Cancer, I can safely say, if you give/recommend Grave of Fireflies to me or maybe other Cancer fellows out there... you will kinda kill us inside hhaha the emotions the movie gave, to me personally, were so painful and strong BUT I think everyone can be killed inside after watching GoF. Most people I know who watched GoF swore they will not watch it again :') Once is enough...

I think the perfect Studio Ghibli movie for cancers, would be When Marnie Was There. You can see that there is a lot of love and friendship throughout the movie, but also hardships and heartache. You watch the character grow, from being stuck inside her shell to opening up a little and discovering the world. True cancer nature

Im a Sagittarius, but I thought whisper of the heart was a bit boring.. Arietty was also a bit too normal and average life... My favourites are Howls moving Castle and Spirited away. More adventure and fantasy! :) besides that I love Kikis delivery service, Ponyo and Totoro.. I think until now there hasnt been a sagitarius recomendation that I liked. Alway to boring and slow paced... We like energetic fantasy adventures! And yes travelling is a big deal, that you did get right :)

As an Aquarius I'm quite happy with the choice of "Kiki's Delivery Service", but I think "Whisper of the Heart" (especially the character of Shizuku) would also fit well for Aquarius.

my favourite studio ghibli movie is definitely howls moving castle. ive been watching studio ghibli since i was young and i’ve watched every single studio ghibli movie. i was rewatching studio ghibli movies as they just came on netflix. so i rewatched howls moving castle just yesterday and it really gave me this nostalgic feeling. i can’t explain it i just love it sooo much. so i was hoping to get howls moving castle but i didn’t really mind what i got as i love all studio ghibli movies. i’m a virgo. also studio ghibli soundtracks are SOOO GOOD. i love castle in the sky, umi no mieru machi from kiki’s delivery service, path of the wind from totoro and merry go round of life from howls moving castle(my very fav song) there’s many more i love but yeah

My favorite is Spirited Away and Ocean Waves, I recommend Ocean Waves for Scorpios because the girl I truly represents a Scorpio's personality. Ocean Waves is a great movie, it relates to the bitterness of life, the feeling of longing for someone or something that didn't work out well. It is the most underrated movie, people doesn't understand the gem it truly is

Dang. I'm a leo. Spirited Away was my first Ghibli movie. Ok short story = me and my sister was bored, so she decided to put a little movie theatre and she asked me "do you want to watch Spirited Away or Weathering With You ?" i looked at both of them and i'm still so happy that i chose spirited away. Because we ended up never watching Weathering With You.

@utopia You're still a hard worker! Just with art (I don't know you of course). Have a look at your whole birth chart and everything will make sense. The sun is ONLY your values, you've got mercury = the way you communicate, moon = your inner emotions, you when people get to know you, mars = the way you make decisions, etc, etc. Your whole personality isn't Capricorn, there are so many other parts of you.

So I just watched howls moving castle. It is LITERALLY the BEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN!! I am so happy I watched it😄 even though I’m a Leo I have already seen spirited away and I wanted to watch this video to see what other movies I would like. I think capricorn relates more with whispers of the heart, a film that talks about studies, obligations, being down to earth and at the same time seeking balance through reading, music and art in general. Capricorns are hardworkers, down to earth, ambitious, loyal and we treasure a lot our few friends!

u should watch whisper of the heart! not as the first studio ghibli movie but a lot of people forget about this movie and it's really good so u should definitely check it out, but it is the sequel of The Cat Returns (which i didnt like as much) so i'd recommend starting with spirited away, the classic favourite, and then totoro, kiki etc all the famous ones haha. nausicaa is another of my faves so def check it out too!

@@zel4881 I was just watching Whisper of the heart and I totally fell in love with it, I also read the manga, the movie was supposed to be inspired in it, but there's no comparison point, it was such a heart warming and dreamy movie in the other hand I also watched Ocean Waves recently which I didn't like as much, I felt it was all over the place, lol.

Spirited Away sure involves tons of character development: Chihiro, Haku, Noface, even Yubaba (if you remember her expression when Chihiro called her granny) develop at least somewhat, which makes one of them (Chihiro) braver. But I also think the movie is closely assosiated with a search of identity. In the movie, consumption is everywhere. Chihiro's parents consume. Noface consumes. Everyone at the bathhouse is pretty materialistic usually. Even Chihiro's name is consumed. By consuming, characters seem to seek for identity, as if consuming would give them something, change them. For this reason, I think Spirited Away should have been for another sign.

personally i think a lot of these movies should have been for other signs. idk what her other videos are like, but to me this seemed she had very basic knowledge or maybe read some bad article for generic info on each sign. i’ve been into astrology for over a decade now, and she got a lot of info on the signs wrong, which is understandable since it takes a lot of time to study not only by reading but looking up as many birth charts, then taking note by the people around you and looking at their similar personality traits and behaviors. her analysis of gemini, capricorn, aries, taurus, leo, and aquarius irked me the most, and even her own sign (scorpio, and mine as well) was very generic- which i would think she’d be more knowledgeable about than the others since it’s her sign. like i said though, i love and have been invested in astrology for years as well as ghibli films and maybe i just had way higher expectations for this video, when really it was more of a fun and generic pairing of zodiac signs to ghibli films rather than “the perfect studio ghibli movie for each zodiac sign”. :/

The Wind Rises is much more deep than her description. Yes, there are many imaginary scenes of him becoming a pilot/inventor, but I believe those imageries/metaphors reflect Horikoshi Jiro's actual accomplishments back in WWII. He was the inventor of the zero fighter planes that were believed to have amazing capability and technology considering Japan's insufficient raw materials. At the end of the movie, he mentions that not one plane came back and that was because they didn't have enough fuel for the round trip back. It was a suicide mission. I just love how Studio Ghibli implements historical context into their art to portray and interpret valuable insights into our cultures. They are truly one of the best animation studios who have ever lived and will continue to do so from now on.

honestly i completely agree! i didn't go into full detail about each movie because i focused on the reasons why i chose it for each sign, instead of giving a summary of the film. I kind of regret it a little bit because maybe i feel like i didn't "sell" the movies well enough, but i do wish everyone gives them all a chance since they are amazing movies

Also, it was said by Takahata, the director, that the film was pressing on the matter of japanese pride that led to Seita's and Setsuko's detachment from others. Yes, the aunt treated them poorly but she also had a lot to deal with. After the children started living in a bomb shelter Seita did not try to get help until Setsuko got to the point that she could not be helped. So yes, this movie did show boy's love and care for his siter but also showed that it was him, who caused their misery by his choices. So I wouldn't say that this movie is perfect for Virgo because it shows this unconditional love. It's a bit of misinterpratation in my opinion.

And I am a Virgo, but I couldn't go past the first 10 minutes of this film because it was too much to handle. Really not what I expected from a Studio Ghibli's film so it hit me hard. Maybe I'll try another time to watch it. But since these films are a great source of "escape" from reality, they are dreamy and beautiful, I don't look forward to watch it, I'd rather watch again some of the more cheerful ones :/

I think it resonates since all the characters in howls moving castle are supper stubborn and do things their own way, refusing to change themselves regardless of the situation they are thrown into, but we get to see them warm to each other into a family at the end that looks past those initial misfit exteriors.

YAY! I'm a Leo, and my parents showed me this movie when I was in grade 2, it was the first studio Ghibli movie I have ever watched! What a coincidence

For me as a virgo I think a whispers of heart will fit virgo more . Virgos like to gaint alot of information and have their own adventure.
