I'd say they're pretty good for pre-builts. Durgod has better stabilizers but better lightning and profile on CTRL. I mean they're all meh if you're building your own lol.

I've tried three different "low-profile" mechanical keyboards recently. Logitech G512 (tactile), Corsair K55 (linear), and the Havit KB395L (clicky). I think if you review the Havit KB395L, you're really going to like how it works for typing (and gaming). I find it's "almost" the perfect keyboard. And it's so flat, your wrists don't hurt. Only two complaints, when the legs are set to sit flat, it moves around a little more than other keyboards because it's not able to utilize the front rubber when it's flat. It doesn't have "dedicated" Volume Up/Down controls, but you can program any key to do that. Very curious what you think about those three keyboards.

As a novice builder, I love Drop's keyboards. A bit of work, and their barebones kits can be very nice. Are they god tier? Keycult laughs at you. Are they extremely nice for the money? In my opinion, yeah.

I have a couple of CTRL keyboards, but my everyday keyboard is the Durgod K320. If you don't need the backlight of the ENTR keyboard, the Durgod K320 is a much better value. If the ENTR had maintained the hot-swappable switches of the CTRL, it would have had more appeal. But, there are better options to the ENTR.

I like the yellow backlight, I'm only going to use it when it's really dark at night and I don't want cold white lights shining into my eyes I want a nice warm white like this

at that price point i would definitely go for the gmmk compact keyboard. the upgraded model comes with usb c, gateron switches and lubed stabs. not to mention it’s hot swappable

Personally I think it doesn’t offer as much as the nk65 entry. however the drop entr, is actually available for more than 5 seconds every few months, so that’s a plus

I don't think smoothness effect the lighter feeling of switch. I mean you could swab the spring out if you want heavier switch

Guys, I love your channel and the way you present products! I've been looking for a good but not extremely expensive TKL 65% mech keyboard that is silent and wireless! Very important that it is silent because I have an 18 month old daughter and don't want to disturb her or my wife when she is sleeping. Could you recommend me a good silent wireless tkl 65% or even 60% keyboard? Thak you!

The colour is produced by the fact that the Kelvin number is not great? In the electrical industry that colour is called warm white. And is technically a shade of white, although you do see "yellow light" this is still considered white.

The LEDs themselves are a cool white, but when they filter trhough the plastic of the keycaps, they come out yellowish (it's a bit less obvious than in Dmitri's video on my green Entr model). I actually like the warm color of the light on the keycaps, they give it a retro-feel. When I take the keycap off, or when I peek at the light leakage under the keys, it is pure white. If you use aftermarket keycaps, the light that comes through will probably end up being influenced by the internal makeup of the new set as well.

Just buy a Varmilo va87m I have it and the stabs are well lubed and sound really nice, as well as the build quality and keycaps are really good for the price.

Those stabs are HORRENDOUS, it took me many mods to make my alt stabs decent and I just had Vietnam flashbacks with the sound test of this keyboard

Love the invisible legend when the backlight is off, nice touch. I don't think it's really worth 90$ if they're not even able to get just white LEDs.

White is one of the hardest color to do. So, one has to wonder why Drop choose that color for a low cost unit... On the other hand, Hardware Canucks colors are gorgeous, as always!

The side RGB is pretty cringe and unnecessary. Also pretty expensive for a keeb whose stabs are a bit inferior to Ducky or Durgod.

They know how to spend the costs on things that actually matter, leaving the not-so-essential elements being cheapy-made but it doesn't matter, as long as the price is reasonable and we're getting the superior layer/layout, software and keycaps, the only things that matter the most, in terms of mech.

The spacebar sounds so mushy on the gateron yellows. Ik the spacebar is usually inconsistent with the rest of the keyboard but i'm definitely getting a cheap vibe from this one.

lol well of course i'm excluding any DIY builds out of the equation. Still for $199 the CTRL is quite attractive in the space of r/mk - BTW for those who have experience, what are your thoughts on the GMMK barebones base? How does it compare to more boutique options? -D.

@@HardwareCanucks I got the gmmk barebone and I really like it. Only meh thing is the micro usb but I think it got updated to usb c, but not sure about it. I was looking at durgod, varmilo and ducky offering at the time I bought the gmmk, but I could not decide on the switches and I didn't want to spend good money on a keyboard with switches I was not sure I would like (happened with my first mechanical keyboard). So I got the gmmk and I was able to try different kind of switches, gateron yellow, kailh speed copper, outemu blue (extracted from the redragon k552), and now it got kailh box white switches with SA profile double shot abs keycaps. I don't like clicky switches, but those kailh box white made me like clicky switches, they are quite something else compared to blue switches. All in all I like that gmmk way more than I like my anne pro 2 (cherry blue) or my durgod fusion (cherry brown). The only other keyboard I use as often as the gmmk is the Keymove Snowfox which is also hot swappable (now with kailh box burnt orange) but in 60% layout. You really should check those two out, they are totally worth it.

I wish someone would make a non mechanical tkl keyboard with a wrist rest. The "silent" mechanical keybaords are ungodly loud compared to my Razer Deathstalker. Even lubed reds with orings are stupidly loud and have a harsh bottom. I love the mush of a chiclet or dome.

To be perfectly honest I still prefer my Tecware Phantom with Kailh Speed Silvers, a cheaper option too. and the RGB software is pretty good for its price

I bought something to the Netherlands before from drop, which was around 35USD, but more than allowed for custom free delivery. I ended paying almost twice what the product was worth with fees and taxes. I expect it will be similar in Germany, so expect to pay upwards of at least and extra 50% of the value of the product. Not worth it in my opinion.

These keyboards are so close to being easily cleanable now. But there's still the problem with the stabilizers. They create gaps where dirt can enter. Someone needs to invent a new type of stabilizer that doesn't require non-sealed cut-outs in the mounting plate.
