I loved how moved the niece was at the opportunity to give another bride such joy!

Danielle Denis When people make comments like “it’s just clothing” I’ll remember this clip. Something I can recall is my grandfather talking about his first nice suit and how he felt. Clothing and the way we chose to present ourselves to the world is highly personal and interesting. No doubt about it, Fashion is art and clothes are important

I gave a bride a chance with mine. Huge train. Gorgeous with lace and pears. I gave it to Goodwill. Some bride will absolutely feel like a queen in it. I know I did.

This episode has for me until yet the most sincerity. Nobody played any kind of roles or felt akward and behaved unnaturally.

Eszter Bódi -- well said,---- it's rare to find educational reality tv, that doesn't just have folks playing roles. & Also not hurting or making fun of someone at there expense.... Eszter--- I appreciated your comment, it's rare to truly reflect on things in the moment. Thank you

I love the way they were getting to know the aunt’s personality just from the clothes. The niece was being treated to a kind of impromptu eulogy and was very moved.

Love to watch all of your videos, especially when you go to someone’s home and go thru their “time capsule” closets. So many beautiful clothes, jewelry and shoes!

I like some vintage designs and I think that many times are better than the designs of clothes and accessories offered by nowadays market. When I was younger I used to include in my wardrobe a lot of pieces of old fashioned designs from my mother, my aunts and my granmother.

Well... everyone has a different opinion on value, and some ppl really don't possess the knowledge, some others probably go with their personality, like this lady; a traveler, i don't know how much time she really has to just stay at home... just a thought :)

Thats so rude to say you expected more clothes and there was only one closet. not everyone is going to be a mega millionaire with a shit tonne of closets. be glad she even called you.

N. S. Well for a high end vintage store to be called, I would expect to find more than what is offered at every single garage sale as well.

She was told there were tons of items. She expected a ton of items. 1 regular closet is not a ton of items.

I think to most laypersons, that is a lot of vintage and since she valued her dearly departeds items, to her they were all treasures.

I am glad you admit that this show has nothing to do with science. And as promised I have already unsubscribed from their channel. This is the best way to tell them I dont appreciate their programming choice. If I had facebook I would use that to give them shit there. I no longer watch the History Channel or Discovery Channel because the put on bullshit like this show. Once they put on shows like this they stop being my channel.
@reillyconstance5037 жыл бұрын
TheDestruct0r this is on the Smithsonian channel which is history related. thats why this show is on there

Clothing is a part of history.
@person98725 жыл бұрын
The Smithsonian maintains one of the world's premier collections of cultural artifacts, pop culture material and style/design in addition to their scientific arms at Natural History, Air and Space and the National Zoo. They also have major interests in art and history, which are related to the stuff this show tackles.
@julietteyork37213 жыл бұрын
Vintage clothing is part of history. Doris is part vintage dealer - part history teacher. If you watch enough of her videos you’ll see that.
