The people of the Philippine’s that I have met seem to have a calmness about them.They seem to take life in stride rather then allow life to upset them.I admire that characteristic,wish I could be that way as well.

That's not the Pearl of Lao Tzu. That's the Pearl of Puerto, which was found in Puerto Princesa, in Palawan. It was discovered by a local fisherman and it toppled the Giga Pearl (also from Palawan) which toppled the Pearl of Lao Tzu (AKA Pearl of Allah, also from Palawan) from being the largest pearl ever found. The fourth largest pearl also came from Palawan, and it was called the Palawan Princess. The Palawan Princess was auctioned off by Bonhams back in 2009. So yeah, Palawan Philippines holds 1-4 of the largest pearls ever found: 1. Pearl of Puerto (34 kg) 2. Giga Pearl (27.65 kg) 3. Pearl of Lao Tzu/Allah (6.4 kg) 4. Palawan Princess (2.27 kg) EDIT: Added info about the GIGA PEARL.

There is no place like HOME. Here, no snow. No thick clothing. You wear tshirts and shorts youre comfortable. We have electricity and potable water. We live simple lives. We are contented with what we have. We own our own home in a subdivision. We know and love our neighbors. We help out each other when calamities strike like floods and typhoons. We are not stressed. Our community is peaceful and we keep it that way. Praise God i was born in the Phillippines with Catholic Christianity as our main religion.

I'm a 100% Filipino who working overseas, my foreign friends and co-workers always said that I'm a very lucky human being for having the Philippines as my country. Way back 2018 together with my 9 co-workers we travelled back to my homeland for a 1 month vacation and as expected reactions they are truly amazed for what the country offered, from the kind hearted people to the mind blowing nature. ❤ Today 2 of my co-workers are now immigrated there and have their small business. That is a very clever reply, I thank you for responding. My brother returned from a visit to the Philippines as his partner is from there, she owns a house there, I asked the question, why don't you move there, it is so beautiful, he said " there is nothing there, a house surrounded by shacks and poverty" people with nothing to live on. Well in truth it is close to such here in southern UK for the natives. It is not a country you would want to live in a tent, as it can and does get cold, however, given the rise in prices lately, moving abroad or freezing is options. Having retired just 3 months ago, It has hit me hard, just how much we have been taxed, I always new we are taxed to much but now, I may need a tent ???

@Worldlywonder_official 8 ай бұрын
Great question! @paulreynolds2898, Many factors can influence why people choose to leave their home country and not return. This can range from seeking better economic opportunities, education, escaping political unrest or persecution, to simply wanting a different lifestyle or experience. Each individual's reason can be deeply personal and varied.

Tagalog and Cebuano is not a Language, they are just the two of the main Dialects. Cebuanos Speaks the Bisaya dialect in the Central Visayas Region, while Tagalog is mainly spoken in the Luzon Region, But even in Luzon, there are variety of diverse Dialects like for example Ilocano, Kapangpangan and so on, I cannot mention all you just have to do your own research. The Visayan Regions also have several Island Provinces that speaks the Bisayan Dialects but have their own specific dialect s like Ilonggo, Waray which have a borrowed word from Tagalog and Bisaya, but then again, each Island Province have their own distinguished dialects, I cannot mention all just do your own research. Mindanao is also a region and the largest land mass and also have variety of Dialects. Mindanao has a rich history, then again do your own research I am not a Historian or a Geography Instructor! Peace and Love to the Philippines 🇵🇭 🙏...

You are very wrong to refer to what is spoken in the Philippines as "Dialects". Tagalog and Cebuano (Sugbaonon) are in fact separate languages, even more so than Spanish and Portuguese are separate languages. Ilocano, Kapampangan, Igorot, and others in Luzon are separate languages. The language we speak mainly in Mindanao is a dialect of Cebuano, because it is to a great extent mutually understandable by speakers in Cebu. There are some major differences, such as all counting beyond ten being in Spanish numbers, and an even heavier Spanish influence. Ilonggo and Waray are separate languages from Cebuano and Tagalog. In Mindanao there are many more languages of Maranao origin, such as Binukid, Yakan and Tausug. My wife's "mother tongue" is Higaonon Binukid. Yes, it has some words shared with Cebuano and Tagalog, and yes, it is a dialect of Binukid, but Binukid is not a dialect. Filipino English is a dialect of English, just as is my "mother tongue", Australian English. Tagalog speakers rarely understand any Cebuano, which is the sign of a different language. For speech to be correctly called a dialect of a language, it must be highly mutually understandable to most speakers of the language. Just because words are shared doesn't mean that they are not different languages. For example, say "mata" to an Indonesian, or a Maori in New Zealand, and they will say in English "eye". I've also found that I understand quite a lot of words in Bahasa Indonesia because I have seen them in a similar form in Tagalog, Cebuano, or Tausug. Unta pwede ka nga mahiluna ka, ug mag amping ka pirmi! Maraming salamat! Daghang salamat! Madakol hu salamat!

I am pleased and relieved to watch this video/documentary. We thank you for introducing our Country to the whole world. We are glad that Philippines economy is growing in this day and age in the hands of Apo-PBBM. I remember from year 1986 to 2016 DILAWAN made Philippines a third world country, from Cory to Noynoy era. All of their projects were Tr*sh. There were so many tr*ash in manila bay, Pasig river, and boracay. AFP leaders were corrupt and military were weak. Dilawan really destroyed the Country in 30 years, but they got rich with gold coffin while telling to their people that they are heroes. 😔🤸‍♂️🤸🤸‍♀️ That's Filipino.
