Yo what’s up everyone, I wanted to elaborate further with you all on why I chose to talk about my faith in this video as I’ve read a lot of comments that show this concern. Firstly, I want to make it clear that by no means do I claim these to be the views of Shuzo. These are my views and beliefs alone. I simply thought that it would be a good opportunity to share why I make these videos. Not to convert or convince anyone to become a Christian, but to be transparent with my viewers about something that's really important to me. It truly is to show how God has transformed my life and continues to transform me. Yes, I am human and yes, I fall short of perfection. We all do. But I hope that in spite of how crappy humans can be, that we can pursue love and empathy. As I said in the video, Shuzo’s message is all about perseverance and hope. Even in the darkest of days. I hope you all interact with each other in a kind way. Whether it’s on this video or even in day to day interactions you have with people. Pick up some litter on the side of the road. Wish someone a good day. Call a friend that you haven’t talked to in years. Take the shopping cart back to the shopping cart area rather than leaving it in the parking lot. Not to be a “good” person but simply to make the world a better place. Just like I have the freedom to express my faith, you have the freedom to disagree and share your own world views. But please, do it in a respectful and loving manner. You’ll be surprised at how fruitful conversations become when you simply listen and put kindness at the center of your conversation. Thank you all for watching. I appreciate it immensely!

Beautiful, man. Lots of respect to you for spreading faith in such a way. I can tell you want to help others find the joy you’ve found, because you’re a good person. Definitely agree with your philosophy there. I didn’t end up finding faith until my late 20s, having been an atheist since I was a young teen at that point. It was quite the journey but some people much like yourself helped water that seed in my mind and heart overtime. I still have a lot of healing to do, I’m still a sinner. And I am by no means a model of faith, there’s a long journey ahead. But my mind and my heart is open and healing, and just like you I will be there for other people when they need it. Enough rambling about me though. I just want to say I see you and I appreciate you. God Bless man

@@HieronymousLex Thanks for sharing :) I also had a long windy road to get where I currently am with my faith but I think it made me a lot stronger and less skeptical as a Christian as I had looked at the alternative world views and seriously compared them to Christianity. God bless you my friend!

Hi Victor. I really just pulled up a search on Matsuoka Shuzo while listening to a podcast and saw his most famous video. Yours was in the auto play and I let it run. Your analysis is wonderful and even more inspiring with your perspective on the Christian Faith. I'm currently studying in Japan atm and I will like to contact you if you don't mind. I'd like to send you an email but it's not on your bio

I have him on my phone lock screen with his fist up smiling telling me to never give up I didn't give it much thought and I think back now it's because of the motivation of him telling me to get up and try a little harder. I really don't understand why the message feels so powerful but it does.

Not sure if I'm being rude or not saying this but.. I've personally had a tough life myself. (ace score: 9/10, growing up gay in the 90s in a really messed up situation didn't help) But by not giving up and focusing on the end goal, I essentially shot ahead of a lot of people and became a teacher. I throw myself at work an awful lot because its meaningful to me, but yeah. Things do get way better once you establish routines that help you become a professional in your field and you get that chance. It's not fun but nor is investing. (or farming, for that matter) Oddly enough, I'm having a really good time atm. You'd be pleasantly surprised how understanding people are so long you focus on being a good person and so long as you can do your job. I'm just a really private person. lol You guys got this! Keep chasing that rabbit.

I can't believe I found one of my new favorite motivational sources out of the most unexpected places and times on KZfaq not gonna lie. This guy literally radiates my energy and I'm all in for it and I just want to yell "I WON'T GIVE UP" back to him with my strong agreement that one should never give up. I want to be just like this guy because I'm tired of seeing all the people suffering around me with my words being inefficient at times, I want them to truly believe what I say I want them to truly feel the power of these words and what I want to achieve in their thinking, and I believe everyone deserves a strong push ahead in their darkest times because everyone has to go through this, and for the world's unfair conditions we live in today, I believe we all need to look up and push these people to the top and give them attention and share them everywhere so that we can all have "little Shuzo Matsuokas" everywhere for a millennia and forward supporting the next generation into a bright future. Thank you for clearing up some things about this guy that I wanted to look into. You're the best. Spectacular work.

Last year (Around october) I downloaded this video into an audio in my phone, because here in Brazil was the time of the "Vestibulares" (the exams that decide if you can get into an university paid or public, and is considered one of the hardest and important moments of a students life) and I thought I wouldn't be able to get into one (my mind wasn't at a clear state at that time, anxious and all lol) . So before going to every silgle test I usually put the audio of this video and listened on repeat to get calm and motivate me. Now I am going for my second week of classes on one of the top 3 universities of latin america. Never give up bros!

Yesterday I had a competition to establish the state selection of sprint kayaking. Last year I won places in the crew boats, as well as my indivudal kayak race, but this year, I lost all the races. The first race (Individal kayak 1000 m) I gave maybe 90% of my all, still got beaten but did not feel as bad because I knew I struggled in the end. The second race, being a shorter 500 meter race, I decided to give it my all at the start to hopefully eat my enemies since the beggining. However, 250 meters to go and I was on par with them, I had them very close as My coach and friends shouted me to start my sprint to overtake them to win. My muscles ached and my mind just thought... How about we let them win? It will all be fine. Just stop fighting and the pain will surely go away... And so I did, I watched them overtake me and slowed down to a cruise. Worst decision I have ever made in my life. I quickly recovered from the race and went over to my coach who was super confused on what just happened. I just stared at my feet and said to my friends that all that happended was my fault, no one elses, just mine. Losing this race meant that I lost oportunity to form crew boats and my individual kayak race. However, I still had one more shot at the 200 meter sprint, a super short race based on complete explosiveness, however, I felt like complete garbage. My mom was asking what the hell had happended, she was telling me that all the money she invested on me has just gone to waste and all because of my stupidity. I glared down in shame and told her that I was really sorry, that my mind just gave up but she was not having it. Pain soared through my stomach and honestly, I did not even want to be there, I just wanted to hide, like a subhuman being who done something shamefull. My coach said "Listen, either you win this final race or you are out of the nationals". My friend who also competed was also at stake because me not wining meant that he would also not go to the nationals because the other's team race quotas would be full, so I had to win, I just had to. But my mind was still injured from the dumb decision I took. My thoughts were like "You should just give up" and "after this race, it will all be over and you can go home". I shook it off and started warming up for my race even though I was constantly fighting the urge to repeat the same thing that happended in the previous race. My pride was injured big time. I was in the start line where the boats get lined up and was terrified. The judge was taking his sweet time lining us up and kept telling me to move back (which is not ideal because the start can go with your boat moving backwards). At last the judge was satisfied. I just wanted to beat my mind, beat the urge to stop, to send everything to hell and stop kayaking and let my oponents win so that the preassure would end. "Ready, set, GO" said the judge and I started with everything I got, every single stroke was with all my might and I realized my opponents were neck and neck with me. If you have ever done a quick sprint, you might have noticed that you can't go all out forever as your energy quickly burns and that is exactly what happended at the 100 meter mark. The urge to stop was so strong, but I did not obey, I compensated the lack of energy using hip rotation and just pure brute strength as my paddle smashed the water. The race was over very quickly, in the moment I had no idea what place I got. Did not matter much because all of my pain was gone. I had gone the distance, I had fought my mind and won. I gave my all and I really did, I gave every ounce of energy in my sprint, and to me, thats all that mattered. The feeling you can beat your mind is something undescribable. My coach said that it was a great race and I hugged my friends with happiness with the feeling of extreme gratefullness of what just happended. Going through the pain even though you didnt win is what gives meaning to the expression "Never give up" because at the end, you might not make it, but you can rest assured that every OUNCE OF WILLPOWER was dedicated to crossing that finish line in first. Depriving yourself of the certainty that you gave it your all is the worst pain you can ever inflict on yourself. It was truly the worst moment in my life, moment that was cured with it's antidote, not giving up even if your mind tries to play tricks on you. This was a lesson I learned through my experience yesterday, I hope it brings some light on the true meaning of "NEVER GIVE UP".

Wasn't going to leave a comment until I heard Watashi's theme. I just rewatched the last episode (love it a lot). What are the odds? I've never heard it being used in a video as a bgm before. Lovely video by the way, keep it up. God bless.

@@micromacrooooI've never seen it, but heard alot of it, my favourites are ghost in the shell, cowboy bebop, and others similar to these, knowing that would this be one you'd recommend to me?
@micromacroooo
@micromacroooo 6 ай бұрын
@@Righteous-db2xf Absolutely. It doesn't have the action elements of cowboy bebop and GITS but it definitely has a lot of the philosophical qualities. My favorite part, aside from the writing, is the art style. It's incredibly unique. Thematically the series tackles college life and finding satisfaction with your decisions in the face of regret which is nice to see in an anime. It's non linear so it's a bit hard to follow but it's worth it. The dialogue is also quite fast but it adds to the comedic elements. I'd recommend anything by the director Masaaki Yuasa but tatami galaxy and ping pong the animation are my favorites.

I lost my job with a daughter due in a few months. It's easy to wake up every morning just to mope and curse my fate, but that doesn't make it any more fulfilling. As Christians, we are called to seek His face. How can I do that if I'm looking down at my temporary circumstances? You helped me see that through this video. Thanks!

I was at one point in my lowest in life, talking rock bottom. I had suicidal ideations, plans, the whole thing. But for some reason, despite feeling absolutely no passion or pleasure for life, I knew it was not my time to go. I pressed on in my misery, and through great perserverance, found the light at the end of the cave. There is always a way out of your darkness that doesn't involve taking your beautiful, unique self from this world, and once you get out of that darkness, you will be grateful for that darkness; for through experience, you were now given a torch to help others through their darkness. I have always wanted to do nothing but help others in the long run, and what better way to know how to help than to go through the experience of the one needing help? There is a true self buried deep within you, that can never be destroyed, only hidden away, and as long as you can envision that version of yourself, it will always be possible to become it, no matter what. That true self is the key to unlocking one's unlimited potential, the key to a door that was wide open, where all people needed to realize is that that they were always welcome in. Sometimes, all it takes is a spark to light a fire. I believe in you!

Almost totally agree, but sometimes we need to have the right to just give up. Sometimes you had belived that you needed something either because of yourself or others, but with time you see that it is not worth it and I think in this times you'll be wiser to just give up and look after something that really matter

The version of this message which resonates with me the most is the one said by Jim Valvano, late head basketball coach of North Carolina State University. He was diagnosed with metastatic adenocarcinoma(cancer which targets organ tissues + blood vessels' cells, I think) at just 46. But Jim resolved to do what he could with the time he had rather than let his illness get the better of him; not even his appearance betrayed how bad off he was. Not even 10 weeks before his passing, he gave a speech at NC State's Reynolds Coliseum (where basketball games were held, of course) to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the 1983 NCAA championship (State won with him coaching). Here Valvano created the quote, "Don't give up, don't ever give up," which became the motto of a cancer research foundation created in his name. Valvano gave another speech just 11 days later at the ESPY Awards when accepting the Arthur Ashe Courage and Humanitarian Award, which WAS actually broadcast and recorded. The entire speech is fantastic and includes his previous quote, but another great line is, "Cancer can take away all of my physical abilities. It cannot touch my mind, it cannot touch my heart, and it cannot touch my soul. And those three things are going to carry on forever. I thank you and God bless you all." The full version is on YT, I'd highly recommend you look it up. With some tissues.

But how about my situation where some big syndicate like people live mostly in neighborhood and near cities who targeting me by doing things that look like a natural cause but in reality they're the one who cause it and if it something that they cam frame me up them will do it. I'm alone facing them but not alone in this situation other victims doesn't know it yet but they experiencing it but still not aware by it cause it's hard to notice they're evil deeds without looking at your surroundings closely.
