If you are suffering from chronic joint pain, the physical exam is crucial in determining the cause and target tissue for treatments such as regenerative injections, PRP, and stem cell therapy. While imaging is important, it may not always accurately identify the pain generator. Providers who solely rely on imaging and do not perform a thorough physical exam may not effectively treat the source of pain. If you are considering these procedures, it is important to do your research and find a provider who prioritizes a comprehensive physical assessment.

I agree with you. The physical exam is very important. OR an equivalent would be what the patient tells you make them worse. For example if the patient tells you supinating is what make their elbow soft tissue pain worse, you have a few possible causes. In my case, it took a while but I finally realized it was my pronator teres TENDON that was painful and that's why supination aggravates my symptoms that much (stretching can make a sensitive tendon much more painful). The MRI showed no damage whatsoever, but it seems like adhesions and muscle tightness in the pronator muscle is what is making that tendon painful basically.

yes the history is crucial as well! In a situation like yours, it could also be a nerve entrapment that is worsening with the pronated position (either due to activation of the pronators, or stretching/tension in the supinators)

@@DrewTimmermansND thanks for the reply. In my case, I can palpate the pronator teres tendon and it is sensitive (probably swollen) so it became '' obvious ''

Does the prp injection help recovery in the discs, so that the space between the vertebras are maintained and thereby helping the facetjoints to keep the bones and body in place?

Have you tried massaging muscles to get them less tight? Certain exercises? Is it chronic pain or a recent injury?... you gotta provide more details
