Franklin is actually one of my favorite troupe members despite not having a lot of screen time or feats. You brought up a good point about his nen bullets possibly being able to shred through Hisoka’s bungee gum. We’ve never really seen any character be able to counter Hisoka’s ability except probably Chrollo. It would be perfect if Franklin can counter Bungee gum with his nen bullets. I also think Franklin is a pretty strong close quarter combatant since he’s an Emitter-Enhancer. I can see a scenario where Hisoka ends up fighting Franklin 1v1 and bungee gum is basically useless since Franklin can just shred right through it with enhanced nen bullets. That would force Hisoka to fight Franklin close quarters or find another way to beat him, which could possibly lead to one of the best fights in HxH. Another thing that interests me about Franklin is his confidence. On the black whale while the other troupe members split up to go find Hisoka, he just sits there by himself knowing that Hisoka is already hunting the troupe so he doesn’t need to do anything because Hisoka will eventually come to him. I don’t think he’s being overconfident here. I think Franklin is just THAT strong that he can actually 1v1 Hisoka and possibly win due to him being able to counter or cancel out bungee gum.

When Franklin gunned down the puppets almost instantly the guy who summoned them was utterly baffled and mentally exclaimed (is he using nen bullets?!) implying that A the power of Franklin’s bullets is unprecedented and B using nen bullets instead of nen enhanced bullets is extremely rare.

Franklin fires Nen bullets so if you're not a Nen user then it's literally over for you and even a Nen user will need a strong Ten for defence.

Franklin is a dual affinity nen user i.e. Emission-Enhancement respectively. He uses all nen categories except Manipulation, Enhancement & Transmutation for Fingers, Conjuration for Bullets and Emission for launch. He must've high amount of aura to do all these things simultaneously without breaking a sweat and he was confident enough to go alone to find Hisoka.

Calling Knuckle who was a veteran of 5000 fights (according to Narrator) and was trained by one of the top hunters a bottom feeder???? Him being capable of beating half the troupe is fine since it’s their utility and collaboration that makes them so deadly that was showcased during the Hisoka vs Chrollo fight and by the fact that every single member of the phantom troupe that gets overpowered or killed is always in a situation where they are separated from the rest (Paku died in front of them but only got chained when she met Kurapika alone).

i think the disagreement comes from a misunderstanding about power balance and scale in the world of hxh which is a lot more balanced and grounded than lets say dbz or naruto .. in hxh its not as simple as to say you are stronger because your strong nen bullets or you shoot a strong kamehameha... nen abilities are like this 4d chess rock paper sciors games .. its about about intel gathering and strategy and who hits first ..and preperations ect .. this is why franklin or kortopi are important t the troupe because you need a mind reader a con artist a long ranged shooter and brawler so its not about how and when you use it and whats its utility..power in hxh is not measured in damage like a videogame think of tserriednich for example he doesnt have any strong offensive tools but he is probably the hardest prince to kill. as far comparing hxh to dbz its pretty obvious hxh is more ground there is a difference between nen users but its not very big even the strongest nen users cant destoy cities or beat a 100 other nen user at once. nobody can destroy cities or planets

I hate Franklin... the design is not memorable and his ability, (nen bullets) is basic Emission!!! Let's replace him with Razor... (a guy in shorts and white T-Shirt with basic ball Emission ability......) XDD I'm sorry but the reasoning is kinda bad and funny to me. Of course anybody can not like him, but when you talk about it in a video, it should look like you know something about the character... But HOP seems like he has no clue who the f*ck Franklin is... What is his purpose in the troupe? I don't know.... maybe being able to kill hundreds of people in few seconds with his fast and powerful mid to long range ability so no normal human can escape?! Hmmm? It seems like he just hates him but doesn't know why so he came up with some bulls*it reasons. But other than that good hxh video as always. BTW why I personally love Franklin... is because he is perfect member of the troupe (Smart, keeps troupe together, (he kinda replaced Chrollo when Kurapika captured him) and also he has basic but really powerful ability) About design... yeah the design is not epic (I completely understand if someone dislikes it... no problem here), but I don't need him to look epic, he can be visually just a dude with scars and long ears.
