Very valid points, being American Muslims, American Community we need to be looking for our own interests instead of taking any sides to Not allow these politicians to take us for granted, use us! Indeed, it's our own weakness that besides having a decent voting strength , we don't have any leaders at the national level besides. Most of us are still promoting, advocating Muslim interests based on our ethnicities. Unity is strength, United we stand, divided we remain weak and keep struggling to find out identity !

I have lived in MENA for over 6 years and truly received a more welcoming experience than being born in the USA in Michigan. I agree there needs to be an open dialogue about what I call "culture and conflict." I live in Metro Detroit, between Dearborn and Hamtramck we have the highest concentration of Middle Easterners outside of the Arabia's. I find it interesting. In general, African Americans and Arab-Americans don't communicate, this is also true about Chinese, Italians, Japanese, Indians and Native Americans. How do you expect us to communicate when we literally know nothing about one another? The information that we do know is usually misleading, misinformation and mythical. Unfortunately the only time that we come together is when someone gets killed or we are in a crisis situation. Let's discuss some peace time functions to understand who are neighbors?

Excellent lecture! This is exactly what we were trying to come up with yesterday during our discussion with some brothers in Toronto, talking points. How do we make firm stand on our traditional family values rooted in our religion without violating the laws of the land (in our case Canada 🇨🇦) ie without sounding bigoted or offensive.

No scholar touches on practical problems faced by Muslims like YQ. It's easy to make a video on YT and say according to Islam Homosexuality is haram. But help muslim community respond when cornered in practical life there's not much videos on it.

When you dependant on the system's education for your children and everything else, how can you be free of their limitations and you can talk and share your stance but at the end our children are losing the fight because we are just talking and no actions. Come together and educate your children and gradually move United on the next important issues we are facing. Talk and actions equal success

Dear Sheikh please answer something very important. How do we protect ourselves from un-islamic values that are being imposed or mainstreamed through United Nations in the form of international and national Policy. Examples of such values include equal right of men and women (we are not against the right of women), acceptance of homosexuality, secularism in institutions, and so on. Now we live in a world where it is impossible to exist without being a member of UN.

This is a term that means different things to different people, but is now used as a bludgeon by the political right against the left. Tolerarion should always be understood in the context of persecution. The protestants were persecuted in many parts of Europe but some countries allowed them to settle and practice without fear of being persecuted. It was never about accepting, embracing or promoting new set of values. What we're seeing today is an agressive demand to submit to this new leftist creed. As the Sheikh said, we can live together with our respective set of values without representing a danger for one another. The danger here is the violent radicalisation of the left. If the Conservative part of society starts making concessions, the social fabric and concept of family will cease to exist.
