In today’s DIY video i show you how to use a plastic welding machine tool or soldering iron to repair and fix broken plastic. I weld the plastics together and became as stong as new. With this plastic welding method it is much more effective and durable than repairing using super glue and baking soda or other glues.
I also teach how to weld diferent plastic types like ABS, PP (polypropilene) or PA6 (Nylon) using zip ties wich are made of nylon.

Although it is ideal to match plastics when welding, I have use nylon zip ties with other plastics and it seems to work fine. I think maybe your heat gun is not hot enough to melt the zip tie into the plastic. You should try a 100 watt soldering iron.

Thanks for you feedback, yes maybe if the plastic have a mixture of nylon and other types should also work, is not a problem of temp. i can put 400 Celcius on my heat gun... excess heat can "burn" the plastic and make it imposible to weld also.
