I don't know if it's just me becoming older, but this entire generation of consoles is the first one that I've literally had no interest in getting. I do like the Switch and look forward to some of those games. PlayStation and Xbox are so far under my radar though, which I never would've imagined growing up with consoles my whole life.

I like my PS5 but dont love a controller i have to charge after every 5 hours of play. And thats WITH taking off stuff like vibration and haptic ect. People like Sony and Nintendo need to do better with battery life.

Better rumble? Bruh… first thing I do when I load up a new game is turn off controller vibration and then watch my battery life skyrocket.

Same here bro. After my switch, I bought an Xbox S for starfield and gamepass. I’m 38 and old.

Tbh I think all consoles leave a lot to be desired. The PS3, Wii and 360 was the last incredible console generation.

I think it makes a lot of sense to think of it as a PS4 Super Pro. Better framerates, loadtimes, and (sometimes) better visuals from all the PS4 games you already own, not a bad deal. Though I loathed the first version of the PS5 because of how ridiculously huge it was, the slim was a much needed improvement. I don't own a PS5 myself, but considering a slim with disc drive.

I still think the ps5 isn't really worth getting still.

I've had the PS5 since 2021. Games I own that are current gen exclusive (each list from greatest to worse): PS5 console exclusives (ignoring PC): 1) Final Fantasy 16 2) Astro's Playroom 3) Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart 4) Demon's Souls 5) R-Type Final 3: Evolved 6) Spider-man 2 7) Forspoken 8) Destruction All-Stars 9) Returnal (I hated Returnal). PS5 current gen only third party games: 1) The Medium 2) Iron Harvest 3) Plague Tale Requiem 4) Deathloop 5) GhostWire Tokyo 6) EA sports PGA Tour: Road to the Masters 7) Crime Boss: Rockay City (very underrated game I enjoyed, much better than most claim) 8) The Chant 9) Gotham Knights (despite me putting this in ninth place, I really enjoyed Gotham Knights, very underrated) 10) Crazy Chicken: Shooter Edition (it's shovelware, but it's FUN enjoyable shovelware. Anyway, this compilation of Crazy Chicken games is current gen exclusive, despite them being HD versions of late 1990's shovelware games. But it is fun). Honestly, the ONLY game I hated was Returnal (I hated the main character, hated the difficulty, hated the character designs, etc).And shockingly enough, I actually liked Forspoken and Destruction All-Stars (despite their flaws I got some enjoyment from them).

I got a PS5 last November, and then sold it last month. I mostly play on my PC and barely ever touched the PS5. The single player exclusives are nice, but those types of games I just prefer watching let's plays of, and so there isn't really a reason for me to have the system

I personally think the PS5 controller is one of the most uncomfortable controls I have ever held. It hurts my hands and the buttons feel more resistant to presses causing me to die a lot in Spider-Man 2.

I loved my PS4, but there are plenty have games I have yet to finish or start so I'm still satisfied. I also have my switch for my indie fix and exclusives 😅 The PS5 doesn't interest me because all the Sony exclusive games that have come out are just interactive movies - not even video games. The gameplay has taken a back seat for cinematic experiences, and I'm not paying $500 and then some to watch a movie lol

Battery life of my ps5 controller is about 4 hours

As a PC gamer, the PS5's library seems rather redundant overall and every time I think of taking the plunge for an exclusive game I catch wind of more stupid shit that pushes me away from wanting one like the PSN sub fees increasing or DRM being added to the disc drive.

Final Fantasy 16 is PS5 exclusive atm.

My PS5 is absolutely silent, the only time I’ve heard ANY noise is when I have a Blu-ray Disc in it and I start the console and even then the room has to be quiet to hear anything. It’s the most quiet console I’ve ever had, superb

I recently sold my PS5. I thought I'd like the exclusives a lot more, but they just didn't click with me. I don't like the heavy focus on being cinematic and all of the long cutscenes. You basically have to be really into modern action/adventure movies to enjoy Sony's exclusives.

I'll wait until GTA 6 comes out before I get a PS5.

I bought the slim last week (had gift cards to take it down to $400 for reference) so far I’m really enjoying it for what it is: the PS4 Pro “Pro”

I appreciate your follow-up video from another one you did on the PS5 a while back. I did eventually get a PS5 in order to play a game with my older brother which was PS5 exclusive. But I don’t regret it, though I had a PS4 at the time because like you said in one of your previous videos, I am now future-proof.

I love playstation but I've only used it for like 2 exclusives... I love it but it needs more great exclusive games. I spend way more time playing on pc these days

The controller is the only thing innovative about the PS5. 🤷 The rest of it is just performance/graphics buffs. Sony hasn't innovated their console since the jump from PS2 to PS3.

I have both the ps5 and series x havent used my series x in over a year just nothing im intrested in . Love single player games and co op so ps5 for me is what i love for those reasons . Id say its a good console i still think the ps4 at the 3 year point had more but i do think itll pick up .

Great videi fanta! The only reason I'd get a ps5 is to essentially be a beefier ps4. Also I'm worried for the digital only future that keeps getting pushed on us for example Alan wake not having discs and the ps5 slim slowly phasing the disc drive away. Im not sure what incentives there will be to own a ps or xbox if u cant get affordable used games and all exclusives come to pc.

Eh this is just me but the controller looks kind of big, plus what if the disc drive mechanism fails due to wear and tear ? do you know how much it'll cost to fix it ? sadly with every new gaming console comes problem.

The fact that new games are still being released on PS4 shows how lame this generation has been so far. The console itself is great but man the PS4 era during launch and for the first couple of years were way more exciting than this generation.

Funney enough Jake helped me score my ps5 3 yrs ago on black friday! Idec about the games it was worth the upgrade over the old system and all the loading. Game exclusives are for fanboys from 10-15 yrs ago when that crap mattered.

I've always been a Playstation/console guy my whole life. Born in 2000, played PS1 from 2005-2009, played PS3 from December 2009 to December 2016, and have had a PS4 Pro from December 2016 to present. I wanted a PS5 really bad when they first came out, but wasn't ever able to get one. 3 years later, I have no interest in owning one anymore. I switched to PC. I don't see a point in owning consoles anymore.

I don’t think armored core 6 & baldur's gate 3 are on ps4 so if your a console gamer its time to upgrade. I had the Xbox one last gen and got sick of all the games I couldn’t play. Most of what I liked on gamepass were out on PlayStation years b4. And when they “day one” a game it run’s terrible. Took them forever to drop a halo game and it lacked content. Campaign, online game modes, and didn’t feel like halo. Halo when it dropped was a gamepass but was also full of micro transactions.

The PS5 is like the PS4 to me: Even after a few years, I have to struggle to think of games I'd like to play on it that I can't play elsewhere. I played Miles and Spider-Man 1 on PS4, I played Demon's Souls on PS3, and games like God of War, Final Fantasy XVI, etc are either on or coming to PC. Nintendo seems to be the only company that still has a strong exclusive games library. I want to want a PS5, I was planning to get a slim, but the price for a slim is still $500. At least the PS4 slim had a price drop. What I could spend on a PS5 right now I'd rather spend to update my PC. 6 minutes 40 seconds: It's sad how that's 4 times as many exclusive games as what's on the Xbox

Fanta needs a console that only runs Halo, Fortnite and Phasmophobia exclusively.

Legit slowly leaving the ps5 because of the recent price hikes in the subscriptions!! It’s getting out of hand!! Just picked up a Xbox series x and it feels good to be back 😊 game pass is hard to pass up so many good games to play for only $18 a month!

In terms of costs compared to the benefit of owning a PC, the ps5 is really good at being really good performance wise when compared to a PC of similarly strength.

I wouldn’t promote this slim model Fanta! It requires internet to set up the console. For that disco drive. Which the original ps5 didn’t require. The slim is horrible for preservation of the console because of this reason. Requiring internet will make it hard to preserve without hacking the console in some capacity. And not everyone is comfortable doing that. So I wouldn’t promote the slim at all.

PS 5 made me try xbox for the very first time. Ps 5 lied and misinformed customers constantly in the beginning. I also think PS 5 still has not given enough value for the money. So far I think Xbox beats it handsdown for value. Ps5 just does not give enough games I play in order for me to pull the trigger. I will be waiting longer. All the games I play are on xbox. Buying it is not worth it for the 3 games I want to play. Im sorry spiderman 2 and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth alone is not enough for me to buy a Ps5 . I need at least 5 games I want to see for me to pull the trigger. PS plus is overpriced and it sucks. Xbox beats it hands down. I never have been into pc gaming. I am seeing PS 5 used for 350 more and more often.

I only play apex legends and cod infinite warfare so it's not worth it tbh. The only reason I'd say it's worth it (to me) is because Fortnite started running very poorly after they released it on the ps5. It's as if they abandoned it.

You have to remember that they were kinda forced into the cross gen thing with the pandemic, all those games play better on PS5 and GT7 just had a spec 2 with features only available on PS5, I think the next few years will be interesting especially since Xbox is literally nose diving
