​​@@Ceemoney60 Currently the absolute maximum the PS5 allows to output via streaming is 1080p at 60fps. There have been attempts to hack it and change that with no success yet. So using a better screen just raises the cost for no use whatsoever.

What’s the difference between unplugging the HDMI cord and just having your tv turned off? Is there really noticeable differences?

I’ve been doing it with the hdmi unplugged and for some strange reason it does work better, I’m currently 3 hours from home playing dark souls 3 haha

​@@pittsfieldautodetailing4634you can put your ps5 on rest mode. Portal will wake it up when you try to connect to it. And you can put it back on rest mode through your portal.

@@pittsfieldautodetailing4634 First off, you have to set up Remote Play on your console and allow your console to be connected to the internet while in rest/sleep mode. After that, you can go and play on any internet connection around the world (as long as it’s a decent connection and as long as your NAT-type is not causing any trouble.) DON’T turn off your console completely, because it needs to be in rest/sleep mode in order for you to remotely turn it on with your Portal.

Cloud gaming sucks for the most part currently. And you have to have Xbox top tier sub service. I have a sneaky suspicion the portal with have cloud gaming in the near future when it's relevant to the ps5 ecosystem

@marcodelao9148 doesn't work flawless the current infrastructure for most people doesn't support cloud gaming who are you trying to fool. That's also around 200 a year for something that hardly works unless your hugging your router

I'm not trying to fool anyone or hug my router. I use the service daily at home and remote. xbox does remote play btw. Yea this to me is just unforgivable. I want to buy this thing but I already have a backbone for $100 that I can use my phone with. For $200 the least they could do is give us Bluetooth.

It's funny to see fanboys defend this. So fucking what if wired audio is better? The average person now has more wireless audio than wired and if you're an audio enthusiast then it still doesn't change the fact the quality that will come out of the portal is gonna be a huge bottleneck.

Upload speed is what will make this great for me when I get it. I have fiber with 1000 upload. Sometimes I only get 750 but its amazing for upload

I don't know why it's rumored to have a cloud function considering the PlayStation 5 already has that and anything that you have on your Cloud you can download through the portal to your system and use so the cloud function is no rumor it's already there

Steam deck has outsold the playstation portal last month, playstation remote play is on steam deck, playstation now is on steam deck (and yall on the portal dont have that) playstation put their games on steam you cant even use yours half the time you have it. Just did some math. To make this playstation only spent around 100$ 200$ for this is very over priced and i bought a steam deck for 500 and got all the features this has but i can actually play triple a games right off it😂😂😂. I can use it for vr. I actually have a web browser. I can play online games in public without input lag Just get a steam deck

They’d have to charge over $1000 and there’s not enough demand for that. They’d need to sell 50 million plus of them in few years before ps6. Steam deck only sold 1.6 million. Vita was a flop at 16 million sold.
