Hollywood had a thing for symbolic casting, it makes these subconscious associations, it’s why nobody will cast malfoy or king jeoffry.. because they will always be malfoy and Jeoffry.. it’s an association in our heads. They play to that, like Jim Carrey is crazy until he’s enlightened to true reality, every movie. Robert Diniro will always be some hard ass mafioso type character, cumberbatch is an antisocial genius.. etc etc sometimes it’s actors sticking to their strengths or fitting a specific type of role but often casting is also symbolic.. Heath ledger’s first film was in Australia where he plays a clown.. his last film(s) he died as he was playing a clown, a jest? I say films because joker wasn’t the only clown he played that year, “the igaginarium of Dr.parnassus” shows us Heath for the first time.. hanging from his neck dead with “satanic symbols” on his forehead.. damn that’s a crazy movie plot.. killed by illuminutjobs.. what a movie plot.. definitely not at all real..

Most of this won't be real, except for the child thing. 1 thing about this, I wonder how we're gonna make birthing easy, convenient and a cool fad for postmodern women so they will choose to do it in the future? We can't just keep importing Arabs every generation, or turn the West into some vegan single woman adopting poor, diseased strays, like begging India for 70m starving citizens. Well, maybe if we strike a deal with Saudi Arabia, India, or some Middle Eastern country, but the birth rate per woman is too small internationally for Western countries by 1/5, what are we gonna do to stop population collapse? Saudi Arabia won't give every country an extra million citizens every generation. And if we do, we won't be Europeans or Americans, every ethnic group, except for Arabs and Indians, would eventually go extinct if we just go with immigrants. That's a big problem. We've underexpanded, gonna collapse like Rome. We should have accepted Mao's offer for a couple million Chinese immigrant women. Idiot politicians just laughed at him and now he's dead and Xi Jinping isn't extending the same offer.

This seems like it could raise some interesting thoughts on gender roles and the importance of pregnancy as a shared experience for the parents, as well as the balance between work and family life. Based on the trailer, it doesn't seem to want to conclude on anything too specifically, which is often a good sign for movies touching on topics like these.
@R49_Complete9 ай бұрын
This isn't the future tho, it's a hollywood take on near-future gender nonsense. The technology already exists, right now, for both men and women to reproduce asexually. @Ex0dus1119 ай бұрын

Only Gattaca came with a stern warning. This looks like transhumanism in pastel.

0:18 - Location: Gare Maritime (part of Tour & Taxis) in Brussels, Belgium. Built in 1907 and now demonstrating a beautiful mix of modern and Art Nouveau-architexture, it's an amazing place to wander. Also including a food court. Occasionally there's also a flee market, which I'm usually taking part in. If you're in Brussels, definitely worth the visit!

From the title I thought this was going to be about how we're all going to be forced to live in pods because of skyrocketing rents! 😂

Can you imagine if the trailer was just half as long and it didn't show that tonal shift so we would be left wondering if this would be a more "black mirror" kind of sci fi, or the good vibes feel and we could actually be SURPRISED watching?

This looks like one of the Black Mirror episodes. 😂

I was genuinely so tense watching these trailer. So scared for the babies in the pods, I wanted to reach through the screen and make sure their were not dropped. As white knuckle and stressful my pregnancy was, I would feel even more scared having a pod baby rather than one inside. Too much anxiety it could be tampered with.
