Several years ago a Chinese friend of mine that travels to China often, shook his head at me in frustrated disbelief of my gullibility to western narratives on China. I now understand. Thank you Jerry and Andy for your contribution to the opening of minds in dispelling the propaganda. But please don't stop, there's work yet to be done. Also, thank you Liu Xin for hosting The Point and the many fine articles produced, particularly this one.

As a very old senior, I see that it does not matter what kind of government I have if I see happy citizens all over tbe country . I am seeing now too many people suffering without a place to stay, no food to eat, and no security at all. I live in California, and hope for better days for the whold world.

Jerry and Andy, two of my favorite commentator on KZfaq. Glad that CGTN gave them space for their voices to be heard. CGTN should do this more often.

Xin, Jerry does it not just because of passion alone, but fundamentally from his conscience of righteousness.

Thank You CGTN for this report. I am an Australian of European origin. I am so angry and ashamed how our media and politicians smear China and tell lies after lies. Most western people believe what they hear and are brainwashed to the extent that they fear and hate China and Chinese people. Due to old age, financial and health conditions I cannot visit China myself but I fell in love with the country and its people. China vloggers are my source of information, I subscribe to all of them that report without bias and show me their travels to magical (or mundane) places and interact with friendly locals. I love China and wish the country and its people all the best.

I'm watching all their videos telling about their experiences in China. I personally had the chance to leave a few months in China and was confronted myself with a kind of "positive reality chock" when I discovered that anything I was assuming would be "negative", from what I heard during years in European main stream medias, in fact was mainly "positive"! Only then I realized how much lies were told and written in our Western medias, this just to disqualify China. And unfortunately it works... and as Andy mention in this video, even my good friend doesn't want or have difficulties to hear the truths. I hope that the latest China decision on the Visa policy will allow more Europeans to discover China by themselves, and see that they cannot trust Western medias.

Good to see Andy getting some well deserved recognition! I owe quite a bit of my deprogramming to this man.

I have been in China since 2004 and hated most of my first year here. Before I came I was a China hater but even then I decided to take a chance and embark on a teaching career. I haven't regretted anything since the initial first 9 months and even spent 12 years at one school in Guangdong province working with excellent colleagues and students. I have criticised the way things were run in China and not had any repercussions but would have done if I did or said the same in the U.K. I have had more freedom here than I had in my country and can do things that are not allowed in my country. Now I am retired, since 2020, and married since 2007 I hope to spend the rest of my life here..

I am a big fan of both Andy Boreham and Jerry Grey. They always present great and honest discussion on China. Great job well done.👍👍👍👍

I trust both Andy and Jerry as commentators about contemporary China. Both are well- educated westerners and have lived in China for many years. They' ve earned my trust in that they have the qualities that I can only describe are similarly akin to good anthropologists. A basic assumption in Anthropology is that we are products of our own cultures and three terms help us understand other people: ethnocentrism, cultural relativism, and participant observation. Ethnocentrism is holding one's s beliefs, values, ideas, ideals, and assumptions to be the only true and proper ones. Cultural relativism is the idea that we must understand other people's ideas, ideals, assumptions and beliefs relative to own culture--- an antidote to ethnocentrism. And participant observation is the revered method of living among the people you wish to understand for a good length of time. Needless to say, many critics of China lack these deep knowledge and unfairly spread falsehoods that divide people, a phenomenon which is so harmful in our common world. Jerry and Andy has always shown their passion to tell the truth on China in spite of being smeared and attacked time and again. They have lived many years in China and travelled to many cities of China so they are well qualified to tell us the truth on China. What adds to the quality of their videos is that they do research on the arguments and the facts they mentioned in their videos. I hope their voices be heard more frequently through CGTN.

Lived in China just on three years around turn of the century. Travelled back many times since, most recently July August 2023, and continue to be amazed at the fantastic infrastructure and the people that keeps me coming back as much as possible. In the UK there were cameras everywhere ever since there was the problem of the IRA (Ireland Republican Army) bombing campaigns around the country, so long before all the cameras in China! For a long time people had to undergo bag searches entering public buildings, etc., etc., signing in and signing out!

Andy and Jerry are doing humanity a big service. It’s partly through their efforts that a world war may be averted. Transitions in global world power has happened previously in history and has always been coupled with world wars. Finally, colonialism in all its forms may be at an end and a world leadership that wants the world as one to succeed is rising. If humanity survives, it will partially be due to the valuable but under-appreciated efforts of Andy and Jerry to inform and bring people together.

Grey on his well-said statements..I agreed 👍..I did exactly what you had said..Today's I just hang up the phone on an inexperienced paralegal from a law firm in Southern California who being rude and using FAILURES TACTICS OF "CONTROLLED TALKS" while attempting to discuss about my case's ..I told him off his behavior was not acceptable and I clicked off the phone while he was still ramblings on his questioning👎..I had a chance to speak to an Experienced Elserly Psychiatrist in KC,MO many years ago whom supposed to served as expert witness but did showed up in court afterall..His father was an attorney but he decided to be a Psychiatrist..I can see why😂😅..He told me: Remember that your case's is the SWORDS for the attorneys to challenges 🤜🥴🤛 themselves who is better than whom..Without the SWORDS⚔️, there aren't any battles ==Unemployments of both sides..Period.. Many peoples are intimidated when talking to attorneys or laws enforcement officers..They are fearful due to the lacks of knowledge either in languages or in laws..Afterall, attorneys are just like any other professionals who know and were training to do their jobs well as septic tanks technicians or trash companies who pickup ugliest things that no one wanted..There isn't any glamorous or pride in any particular profession..To me the PRIDE is in the arts of works that one IS DONE WELL WITH ETHICAL CONDUCTS that is not only beneficial for oneself but for others as well..Let say, a law firm has its toilets plugged up, do they know better or knowledgeable in clearing the clogs better than Roto-Roosters plumbing technicians?🤔?..Period..

Had been following these two vlogs. Found them logical and sensible in their perspectives about China. They have done a good job of presenting the Chinese achievements and virtues to the world at large. Sensible Westerner viewers would wake up from their biased and ungracious Western mainstream media. With many more Westerners finding the goodness and awesomeness when in China long enough, chose to make their livelihood there, tells everything.

Speaking for myself only, I speak up on behalf of China because I firmly believe that if America and China work together harmoniously, the world will enjoy enormous benefits, and if America and China are in conflict, the world will suffer egregiously. Conflict between America and China could literally destroy the world economy. In the worst case, conflict between America and China could lead to the next world war resulting in the devastation of the planet. America and China working together could solve climate change, global poverty, disease, and international conflicts such as in the Middle East.

Keep up your good work lady and gentlemen. I emigrated from UK in 1981, have travelled a good deal on business and pleasure. Had business interaction with China over 10years, 3 of which living in China. Have family ties since marrying my Chinese wife in 2000. What I have noticed is that you rarely find anyone who has lived outside their culture of origin having a closed mind. In fact it is very easy to appreciate the value of new experiences and cultures, and to put the values of your early life experiences and attitudes into perspective when moving away from your roots. It is a hard slogg to open peoples' minds to differences in the values they learn in mono culture existances. I do admire people who inspite of being bombarded with the propaganda of their own culture, who can see through the western driven narratives, without the advantage of actually moving abroad.

I think this will change when most people have been in China and see it with their own eyes, that was the case for me, first time there I realized I know nothing about China and needed to start over, 2nd time i realized how fast China changes and now 10 years later I see China from a family point of view with 2 hal Chinese kids and the inside of the biggest ICT provider in the world, but working outside of China. People need to know by themselves first then the politicians can be pressured

These two are not even a micro drop in a bucket. Even if they were really shills their impact is insignificant compared to the mainstream antichina views that garners millions of viewership. Their efforts are not an uphill but swimming upstream battle. The western media used to say nice things about China, it’s all but reversed now. Until they reverse their trend yet again, most efforts are tempest in the teacup. However, the conviction of Jerry and the likes are courageous and should be welcome. After all, we need more facts based voices for the world audience to choose from.

Bad words from the ASPI (Australian Strategic Policy Institute)! Ha! As an Australian denizen I have come to know the ASPI all too well! Back in March last year they got a mainstream media, the Sydney Morning Herald and the Age of Melbourne to issue a blaring headline "WAR WITH CHINA IN THREE YEARS". This lead a former Australian Prime Minister Paul Keating to have go at them. Somehow, I couldn't follow it all, they became the target of accusation of suffering from "group think". There was a picture of a whole lot of them faces not fully shown all to a man agreeing with something. I don't think there was a woman in that picture. Now whenever my attention crosses ASPI I sit up with a smirk and say pfft...!

Actually western cultures influenced the globally but not Chinese culture.

@11:30 under normal circumstances, if everyone says the same thing, then yes, we're wrong. But in this case, Jerry is in China and have seen it for himself. In this case, let's say 50 million people say Jerry is wrong, but China alone with at least 900 million people say Jerry is right.

You need to study the human mind and how it is formed over time. A case in point is if a child was born into either a Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist or other religious family, the child will most likely grow up taking on board that religion and you will not be able to change the mindset as it hardwired and all categorically states they are correct, when the conviction becomes extreme, that when radicals and terrorist takes over with physical action and people's life's are gone. Apply that to Anti China or Pro China mindset, you can see that this is the reality. Lets hope the anti China mindset gets contain so they don't get extreme. In my observation, po-China thinkers don't have hostile tendencies leading to radical behaviour. The Australian Policy Institute (ASPI) is one of those extreme anti-China elements set up by the former Australian Prime Minister John Howard. ASPI now is not what it was initially set up to do, it evolution has and is driven by the US government, US Military Industrial Complexion and others. Many reports ASPI has nothing to do with Australian Security what so ever,

CYRUS JASSEN is also one of the true hero that tell the true stories of China. He was born in US and married a Chinese, he can speaks Chinese too. Watch his KZfaq how he managed to make stories and comments on political and economy analysis with the western world. 2 years ago CGTN invited and offer CYRUSS JASSEN to host and be one of their permanent program to highlight China to the world. However CYRUSS turn down the offer and was grateful to CGTN for considering his KZfaq program as a tool to show the West to understand China. Cyruss preferred his own KZfaq show as individual so western world or media won't say he was paid or partner with CCP government.
