This storyline.. Very intriguing, and really puts those like Alder into a new context. That the Pokémon League attempts normalizing technology and strict carrying limits.. and yet he refuses to. Also, it looks like Blaine's implied to be related to Flint. It even explains why the Original Bird Trio are more common than other legendaries. (Plus, the unintentional horror in-game, explicit in this, that Kanto was forced to lose any of the later-gen elements. Fake Dexes.)

It's mildly amusing and kinda horrifying these fangame always turn Red into a sort of "puppet-ruler". ESPECIALLY if you take into account an iteration of his and Blue's friendship say he picked up an interest in pokémon because Blue started bullying him. Blue, the grandson of the guy who's trying to make him into a pokémon master, decides to start bullying him and causes him to get interested in pokémon, with the Pokémon Professor living in his town… Ya'll see what I'm trying to say here? Like, fellas- GSC/HGSS tells us he hasn't talked with his mother in THREE YEARS, and a good chunk of Blue's dialogue is telling us how much he misses him (and how Ethan reminds him of Red), Oak's done some fuckery here. At least he and his -boyfie- best friend are now enjoying vacation in a tropical island while doing what they do best, pokémon battling, together.

There are ones where you can be a Gym leader, or play a story about a character there isn’t much lore in then fill in the background, you can play as a villain or be your own evil boss. Everything a regular company would think as being too much of a gamble, a rom hack can situate that need or fill that niche desire. If anything, my last ditch response is look to see what implementations or tactics people choose for the popular rom hacks and use it as a means to glean off of them for the main series. They can never compete with you and your resources, but you can allow them to act as a pseudo testing division with none of the expenses or bad publicity involved in it.”

Oak having the powers of essentially God, going mad with power and being a huge dick, essentially faking the history of the world and working to set up shadow puppet governments in all regions is SO contrived. "Legendaries" being actually the last of it's kind and facing extinction without a mate, much like the last Rhino IRL, would make a lot of sense. What was once common, will forever be lost once the last one dies. Unless it's a ghost pokemon, or Arceus (and by extention, Legends Arceus game) which I have no idea how that would fit into this fanfic lore with all the time traveling and whatnot.
