We cheat death From this rightful victory No one can overcome us We are glad to plunge Feet first into Annwn In knowledge we will rise. In old welsh mythology it’s believed that those who died will rise again to defeat the English. It has always been believed that King Arthur would come back from death to defeat them. Annwn is the welsh otherworld so where the deities lived. And it’s believed this is also the land of the dead (also our national anthem Land Of Our Fathers) (welsh is my mother tongue)

I really appreciate that someone else knew this was Welsh not English, or that it wasn't actually from halo, would you know the actual name of the song, I've been trying to get it for a while, I'm not a Welsh speaker either so struggle

@@angelusdraven6101 it is a rewrite/cover of the light of Aidan song lament also a Welsh song, but with the lyrics changed to fit the halo3 trailer it’s written by Peter freeman and Gareth Williams. I hope that helps you I don’t know anything about halo but the words correspond to the direct path of our history in which someone must have looked up in depth in choosing the words!

It is 2:43 in the morning and I just did the same thing. Was listening to the light of aiden version (the light, soft, gay one), while cooking and then stubbornly went on an internet adventure to finally find this.

Guys I’m in the same boat. The original track must have existed somewhere as this sounds nearly identical to the ODST trailer. But for whatever reason nobody ever found it. It’s even mentioned in the descriptions of the SFX ridden edits, how it’s the best version they have. So weird. Who is the original composer? Vocalist? Oh well. It’s so nice to finally have a nice clean version. (OnlyDeathStopsThem)
