In todays video we share our friends story about their rustic retreat in Portugal, they also bought remotely and hadn't even been to Portugal before coming to sign the deed!! Same here, after 15 years camper life filled with freedom and good times we sold it. Now we got a awesome place with farmland and woods in the middle of real nature in Hungary. Have fun with this step 🎉

I used to drink Super Bock in my youth growing up in Porto, Portugal. I, too, didn't know where Arizona was, and here I'm in Arizona, USA. watching videos like this one makes me nostalgic of Portugal. Congratulations in being land owners.

Interesting vlog as always. My wife and I made the move to Spain coming up 20-years now to an inland location in the Province of Jaén. A small aldea (tiny village). It was a loco move on any rational level but boy did we enjoy a wonderful 15-years there. Entering our seventies we decided with heavy heart that needed to move somewhere that has accessible health services. That place was Torrox Pueblo in the Axarquia region of the Costa Del Sol. Once again we have hit the jackpot. I’ve had a number of quite serious illnesses that have required hospital stays so our decision was a good call. I’d say to anyone…follow your dream it might be the best thing you have ever done. Not to do so will leave you forever wistful.

When I saw your friends place I thought where are the bugs...then I saw the chickens. I love how chickens eat all the creepy crawlers. Great video.

Haha, there was a fair few bugs on their land! (Way more than ours because of all the surrounding forests and water) I (Sarah, for a change!) got bitten quite a lot during the day before I even realised.. We used the flextail repeller in the bar in the evening and all good, you definitely need something for the biting insects this time of year, not going to lie!! 😅😊

Yukkas will be perfect and will survive the climate, they very hardy. Please make sure they have plenty space, especially the base. Love your channel ❤❤

We have yukkas in the campo in Andalucía- they’re fine once they’re established and even some off cuts we stuffed in the ground last winter took hold whilst we were away so should be fine! Great vid - Jon

NICK & SARAH right when you have your avocado wrap the seed in wet kitchen towel and put in a small plastic box or bag month or so later you have a plant pot up and you have great new plants i have loads back here in the uk great videos you two keep them coming Paul & Gail ROWANS TRAVELS

I think money plants will mostly be fine as they originated in very sunny dry places, but they need to be giving some time to acclimate to full sun if they've be in any shade. I made the mistake of putting one in full sun and it did not like it. Maybe keep them in the shade a bit and then give them full sun either end of the day for a while. Work up to full sun all the time.

Yes!!!!! We have so many money plants in full sun on our roof terrace and they are great, they go a little yellow/bleached in the summer but then go back to lush green in the winter months.. But we also have a few in the house and in shaded areas, if we put those in the sun when they are not use to it they don’t like it, turning their leaves brown and falling off!! Definitely need time to adjust.. we will take our money plants and yucca plants to the land that are already use to full sun ☀️ 😅

Good luck with the inspection. I think it'll pass with flying colors! You two were so careful and thorough, I can't imagine there would be any issues. Both places look amazing! Of course, you already know if you passed. But now that you're land owners in Portugal, maybe it would be easier and cheaper to register the vehicles there. I would also check if they have any restrictions on plants. Can't wait to see what you do!❤💜

Thanks Terry, once all done with the van then it’s fairly straightforward, have to do vehicle inspection every 6 months but it’s just a safety check really so not too bad, shame it just comes around so quickly 😅

Wow what a beautiful place. Lovely people. So. So, nice. I would love to be there myself. Its incredible. Yuka plants should be great. I had them in the heat of Florida. Just Google plants for humid area,s. There are so many that are beautiful and take care of themselves. So glad you found your property and this gorgeous place.

There are a lot of agents in the area, we have been keeping an eye out for something suitable for quite a while now, from KZfaq videos to just browsing through the various estate agents in Portugal 😊.. Thanks for the tips with the yuccas!

It’s a fair distance but it’s quiet roads and very good roads, in Spain it’s just basically a motorway (without any traffic😅) a days driving With a break for lunch and it’s easy..

Always have some cash with you where ever you travel ( number of times i heard from family & Friends when cards don’t work or it’s cash only ) 🙏🤞it all went well for veron .
