In this tutorial, I am teaching you how to create this, awesome floating Jacket cloth simulation with realistic puff material trick.
This is a new cloth effect in blender I just discovered.
The whole idea was requested by a Patreon member of mine.

Great tutorial, but I think hair particles will look much more realistic though. Learning so much stuff from this one single video however, thanks a lot and keep up the good work

hey, so the I imported my garment as an obj as a single object and everything was connected but when im doing this the sleeves and neckline and detaching and coming out anyway to fix this ?? it would help a lot thanks!

Hey thanks so much for this!! Is there a way to stop the cloth from floating upwards? Mine keeps floating away haha.

Just add some gravity or give it little force field values

Oh sweet ok thanks! Also do you know how to keep the top and bottom of the cloth from floating towards each other? My animation sort of looks like the sweater is getting squished. You are also amazing for replying so quickly!! ❤❤

@@Ewancreed it's really a matter of experimenting with values, I don't know how your scene looks like that's why I can't tell exactly But tweak values In the cloth settings maybe turn up the bending below gravity there's forcefield powers too

Hi. When i try to use modifier on the retopo simulated mesh onto the high poly it just get really weird deformation, and each frame the high poly is like changing location a LOT. is there a solution for that?

I dunno about your specific scene but I will suggest you get comfortable with those modifiers in a blank file and use it on different objects like planes.. once you understand it then use it on this one

@@cleverpoly Hi, so long story short i know why it failed but i do suggest to people interested innit that the 2D to 3D wrapping can be done using UVs rather than bind (with textool addon) so the binding doesnt fail for some weird reason. Long story short, i was trying to simulate 1 layer of a multi layer cloth with a proxy mesh and then apply the deformation to the full layered cloth. I think its not meant to work.
