Farrah states that one of the keys to success is being prepared for rejection. She says it's the people who recognize and accept that rejection is simply part of the process that cultivate the mindset for resilience and reach their full potential. Farrah encourages us to view each rejection as redirection to something even better. Farrah Smith has spent a decade working for Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, one of the top ocean conservation organizations in the world. Farrah received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from UCLA and is a proud alumnus of Brendon Burchard's world-renowned High-Performance Coaching Academy. She is also a certified Life Coach and CIJ Insight for Life Instructor. Farrah regularly contributes to Entrepreneur.com as a member of the Entrepreneur Leadership Network, and her advice on personal and professional development has also been featured on Forbes. She founded Farrah Smith Coaching as part of her passion and commitment to empowering teens and young adults in leading happier, more intentional, productive, and purposeful lives. It’s like I needed to hear this. “Obviously, I’m not 20” You don’t look far off, you like happy and healthy in fact. Tells me I’ve been doing this ALL wrong and need to change some things, thank you for sharing this. The Moth and TED Talks have been a center point of my positivity lately.

I really needed this today. Thank you so much. I did not know details of Emmy lous romantic love, her music still blessed my life. I will be music. And stop depending on what become the painful immediate love betrayals in my life - for validation to go on. God is puting breath in me, there must still be a reason he sees. But to my credit, it’s hard find purpose when love is missing and your bucket (receiving) at older ages, is still empty from being kicked over. Thank you for these words.

Choosing courage, passion and determination over fear, doubt and insecurity. Stop attaching self worth to the outcome of events. Struggle with mental health and you need professional help along the way don’t ever feel bad about that. Change your relationship with rejection. Excellent message Farrah, thank you. P.S. if you can do a video with a similar message for kids it could be life changing.

I never thought of this strategy to adopt except for going to counselling. I would rather practice radical acceptance on what others think of me right now. That is how I define embracing rejection for myself. Which is not to say that I would reject someone for rejecting me altogether when they in turn instead need me the most. Sure helped save time while I was doing door to door selling too. Helped me avoid getting hurt in a few confrontations too.

We all have those “was was” stories from our past. Many of us could write at least one book. Leave those wases in the past. Seek therapy if you must. Find your purpose then give it away. God Bless PS Don’t let anyone take your purpose away from you.

There is no power in “embracing rejection”. It’s just depressing overall and shows how unwanted you are by women or men, wether it’s because of your looks, money, or social status. Some people have it all, and some have nothing at all no matter what they do.

Everybody has a story to tell and I don’t think hers is all that special. Also, Bobby Kennedy Jr. went from doing fantastic and important environment saving work to being an anti-vax crack pot and conspiracy theorist. He writes crazy stuff on a subject on which he has zero expertise, which is always sad to see. I wouldn’t count chauffeuring him around as a great moment in anyone’s career.
