I understood from the teaching that lifting up our hands in worship, is not ordinary but very spiritual. When we lift up hands battles are won. Just as explained in the book of Exoduw 17:8-11. Raising our hands is like surrending our all. It is a blessed experience. It is not an activity it is a spiritual practice and has a profound impact. When we are asked to lift our hands,it is calling us to battle,and if we don't engage,we are not going to wim that battle . Exodus 9:29 expresses the impact of lifting up hands. We shouldn't feel embarrassed to lift up our hands. It is a practice of deep faith. When we lift up our hands,it is like an offering to Him. When we lift our hands in worship we are preparing a way for God to work in our life. Vocalizing praise and worship to God is good but it's not all there is. Lifting up our hands is good ,its an honor to Him , powerful things happen. We should not be nonchalant or stubborn about lifting our hands in God's presence,we shouldn't feel too big when there's an instruction to lift up our hands either by the pastor or the worship Leader . Whatever your battle is,one of the ways great weapons is to lift uour hands to the Lord,not only to honor Him but to receive from him,not just to seek him but to surrender. Lifting of hands is a spiritual momentum.
