Oh, the joy of discovering So Hyang! Isn't she something else? She sets a new standard for absolute excellence. Besides that, I've not been able to find many words to adequately describe her, either! She seems like a REAL gift from God, to sing to us and bring us emotional exhilaration that shows us there is a great deal more to His creation than we have ever discerned. Can you tell I'm as agog as everyone else that ever hears So Hyang perform??? She is so wholesome and humble and loving--a GOOD example of what a Christian should be! :)

she really puts everything into her performances. you'd probably love her if you hear more about her. she's a gospel singer and a cancer survivor. she's really humble (from interviews I've seen) and sings not for fame and fortune but for god. that's why most of her performances are covers, not her own music that she can make money off of. she also makes church appearances (in the USA too) to sing. some of her covers have a gospel/soul vibe. some other of her english covers include 'lean on me' and 'bridge over troubled waters.'

sohyang and dimash are my favorite male and female singers, they all have amazing high note and can touch your heart's ability, sohyang is 39 years old she is a gospel singer a cancer survivor, singing for faith, she says God wants her With a song to comfort people, she is a few not due to age impact high note singer ,she has a lot of good songs can make you tears and inspired, people always have lonely and discouraged or weak time, hope her voice can give you strength

King Samuel 헬렌피셔 좋아하는팬들은 헬렌피셔하고 소향은 비교가 안된다던데 그것도 한국사람들이요 그런데 저는 헬렌피셔 노래를 아무리들어봐도 소향보다 도대체 어디가 잘한다는건지 모르겠어요 오히려 소향이부른게 셀린디온이 부른것보다 더좋던데요 보컬코치들도 소향이 부른게 다좋다고 그러고요

So glad you enjoyed Sohyang's performance. Believe or not, as fabulous as you described it, this is one of the more subdued stage for her. She is an absolutely astounding vocalist. As you said, Sohyang arranges her covers. I hope you can see more of her legendary performances (and there are many). Welcome to Sohyang's world! She is Korean and now regarded as one of the best female vocalists in the world in history. I want you to react to Sohyang more!! Many performances links of her are below. I recommend you 'Bridge over troubled water'. When you react to Korean song, you must must must watch english subtitles video. Because you can focus more on the song and feel the amazing emotion of her by understanding the lyrics. I am a huge fan of her and from South Korea too. She whispered. This was one of her "lighter" performances. She is a gospel singer and there are so many of her performances of gospel vive and straight up gospel. Check out all the recommended pieces that others replied.

IMO, She is currently the best singer in the world and among the best singer of all time. The best thing about her is you dont understand what she was singing (mostly in korean) but her songs touch the deepest part of your heart and make you cry even for a man who is hard to cry. That is the magical of So Hyang. Btw you seem familiar with korean tv programme like I am a Singer 2, Immortal Songs 2 & King of Masked Singer. Like you, the rest of our jaws all hit the floor when we first heard this diminutive Gospel singer from South Korea named So Hyang! I have never heard a female singer I enjoy hearing more. She is less than 5 feet 4 inches tall and 100 pounds, yet lets it fly like no one else! Try her "Bridge Over Troubled Water"--an even more emotive and moving song than "The Power of Love."

You really need to check out "I have nothing" Whitney Houston song by So Hyang. You'll come to understand that So Hyang is THE best female vocalist in the world.

Jennifer Rush co-wrote and sang "The Power of Love" in 1984. It was a huge hit. She even made a music video that was played often on MTV (which actually started out as a music video channel). She became the first female singer to sell 1M copies of a single in the UK. In 1993, Céline Dion released a cover version that was arranged and produced by David Foster.

Too many I would like to request. "Arirang Alone", "Everyone", "Where are you", "Lean on me" the version with Michael Bolton, "Mona Lisa"... definitely videos from Vimeo because they have English subtitles and some songs NEED to be understood - the difference is from amazing to heart ripping painful (in a good way Lol).

She sings for God not for money, thats why shes not super famous on a global scale. Check out her other covers. She puts this performance to shame. This was a really tame performance from her but that's probably what the song calls for. For instance her Whitney covers.

If I’m not mistaken, SO HYANG was diagnosed with cancer…after surviving the ordeal she saw her second chance at life as a gift from God and dedicated her voice/life to brining joy to others…she is a gospel singer who grew up singing in church and she rejected international fame choosing instead to sing only for Jesus and to raise money for charity. This is why I believe we feel so much from her singing...its from above and real.
