one use of the moo chord that sounds beautiful is a descending arpeggio, using sustain, resolving to the next chord's root. Such as D,G,C,E resolving to the root of the next chord, F major

5:41 Peter is right, that would be a "C2" That would imply "C(2)" or "C (add 2)". If suspended, the specification of "Csus2" is necessary.

If you add the note a major third above the bass note you get an altered chord with the root in the bass instead. Very nice and often works as a substitution for some variation and extra crunch. E - G# - D - G - C instead of E - D - G - C. works well before Fmaj, Ebmaj, Ebm7 and Am7. :D

I love how Peter crashes the start of the conversation on the main topic (watch it to see what happens). The discussion on gigs and pay was helpful. The concept of listening seems quite applicable there too - you need some guidelines, but every situation is different, and it's important to be open and receptive and curious so that you have a clear picture of the entire situation, and that should be welcomed.

That's funny when Adam did his first Mu chord as C Maj add 9 with the E in the bass, on guitar I've always played those exact notes as an E min 7#5.

It’s kinda like a Neapolitan chord in the sense that it’s a chord only used when the third is in the bass. But Mu seems like it’s pretty much only used in a jazz setting

but Becker and Fagan explicitly said that the relation of the second and the third in Mu chord must be a whole tone. So this is not the original Mu chord, it's a mutation of it. Get it? Moo-tation.
