The Word of God is “full of living power,” wrote the author of Hebrews (4:12, TLB). It has the power to change a life completely and for eternity. James has been telling us that God gives good gifts and the first is the gift of salvation! But that is just the beginning. After birth comes growth, and the theme of this book is spiritual maturity. The primary agent for spiritual maturity is God’s Word. But unless we listen to it and allow it to work in us, it will never have its intended impact.

Isn't making a statue and giving glory to that a violation of the second commandment, which the papacy completely did away with, the same papacy which B. Graham was in league with??? Skip, can you answer that? You have given glory to Graham which is only to be given to God. Be careful. You expose Truth well, but ALWAYS remember: without HIM you can do NOTHING, and that goes for b. Graham as well; and statues to the glory and honor of men CLEARLY violate the RC Catholic removed 2d commandment: read again Ex 20:4-6.

A graven image is an idol-an object or image, such as a statue, that is worshiped as the representation of a deity or god. I DON’T THINK A STATUE OF A PREACHER, President or any other person necessarily means it is being worshipped as a god or deity! Should all statues around the world be removed so as to not offend misguided nitpickers?
