Any chance you could compare it with the other Fuji zoom lenses (16-80, 18-135 and 70-300)?

I notice you are viewing .RAF images in lightroom, some of those artifacts might actually clear up if you choose the "enhance fine details" option. For me it is a world of difference.

I'm going on vacation in a few months and was comparing this with the 18-135. Its tough, I like having that aperture ring on the lens, and prefer lighter weight. But an extra 135-300 seems cool. I just wonder how the lens stabilization compares, since I have an x-t3 and will be handholding on vacation (I'm not hauling a tripod lol).

This lens is awesome for a super zoom. What's your take on it vs the XF 18-135?

I have the Tamron 18-400 for EF mount. It is very good throughout the entire range. It's not excellent anywhere if you look at it at 200%, but I've printed 11x14" with excellent results. I can only think that this 18-300 will be even better. Too bad it won't make it to EF-M. Or maybe I'll just have to try Sony's A6400. Look forward to the review 😄

Always hard to tell viewing on a phone after KZfaq does its thing to image quality. Said that, it does appear very good and it will look better after passing through the likes of Topaz Sharpen AI. As noted the price is a bit steep. But this could be an excellent travel/tourism lens. Bit dark but would work well for sunny summer vacations

Tamron has been KILLING it lately, especially with their g2 series glass! Please tell me you stopped into trackside for a donut after shooting this video 😂

For all intents and purposes the picture quality at 300mm is great. We are talking about the picture quality of a lens not a specialized NASA telescope for gods sake.

Hi Darren I enjoyed your video and glad to see another video from you! I had the Tamron 18-400 and it didnt perform as well as I liked (even after I sent it in to Tamron to adjust the focus) so I sold it. I decided it was best to just use my old Nikon 18-200 VR. Best wishes Duane

A lens that dark for $850 can go to hell. That's insulting, either make it $300 tops or make it big and heavy enough to go F2.8-F4 or it's never going to be in a zip code adjacent to my camera bag. Especially from Tamron, who are lowest of the low on quality since forever.
