Beautiful. I went a little further in my rebellion. At age 26 after many years in rebellion I married a woman and entered a same sex “marriage” in the legal sense. I gave birth to 2 children via artificial insemination and at age 39 in 2013 when my children were 5 and 7 years old I met Jesus. For 11 years I have been in a spiritual battle. God blessed me with a husband in 2021 and after 10 years as a Protestant myself and my husband will enter the Catholic Church this Sunday on Pentecost. All glory to God!!! ❤

Father Mac you once told me to ask God to find a way for me to pray the Rosary other than on the way to work. Now my husband and I say it together. It’s an answer to prayer.

I think God and The Holy Spirit wanted me to read this comment. This humbled me and made me literally read my heart in your comment. I thought I was good for praying rosary on way to work…..but am slacking on praying with my wife trying to get her more involved. I will buckle down and finally pray rosary with wife in morning! I needed to read this comment seriously thank you

To pray the Rosary on the way to work or anywhere is a good thing and perhaps Fr. Was challenging you to expand your prayer time . Praying in the car is great. Praying with your spouse is wonderful. I think the important thing is to be open to praying more and in new ways that will draw us closer to Jesus.

I have to pray my rosary on the way to work. It's the only time I really can. my husband has not only fallen away (he never really was full in,) but he's now quite hostile toward the Church & has some pretty bizarre beliefs regarding the Catholic Faith. I keep praying for his reversion, but I sometimes wonder if He hears my prayers. I'm a bit of a nag though, so I just keeping nagging, hoping and praying! 😅

I was a practicing Buddhist for a couple of years before I met my now wife. When I was dating her, I was really intrigued with the culture and traditions of the Catholic Church. Followed her to mass and all. One day when I was ready to receive the blessing from the communion minister, I just went up and the minister lady said “Jesus loves you”. I teared. Signed up for RCIA. Now I’m a Catholic. God has His ways. Seek the truth and anyone can be converted.

What a delightful talk! This 69 year old grandma who converted to the Catholic Church in 2010 learned some wonderful things today. My two take aways I wrote down are “When I found your words I devoured them “ and “Pray for the grace to desire what God desires for you”. Helpful in a difficult time right now. Much love to you all. Isn't it wonderful how he touches the hearts of us older women? I am so grateful to him for that, I am a 74-year-old convert, I converted 52 years ago, but my journey has been bumpy. I won't give up. because I love the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Our Lady, St. Joseph. and the Holy Angels and Saints so much. I am so grateful to our God.

I went far into rebellion. Way too far. I have finally woken up and am trying to find my way back with God's help. Last year I returned to God's fold. Father Mike and his Theology of the Body talks have also been invaluable. I don't think my Episcopal congregation is going to be delighted (to say the least) of me de-transitioning. But, I have contacted a Catholic Church to ask about RCIA.

Great, don’t be shy, the devil is around every corner and will try to stop you in small ways. No phone call back, can’t find a sponsor, etc. Just keep persisting and praying you will get there. Proud of you.

Thank you Fr Mac Hill. I’ll never forget the valuable time you gave to me at Our Lady of La Leche when you heard my confession. You taught me a great deal about forgiveness of others right after a profound loss I had experienced…I’d detail precisely what I mean but would rather write to you personally which I will. Anyway, you were so right! I’d love for you to be my future daughter-in-law’s RCIA leader on her journey to convert to Catholicism. I’m also encouraging my other son who just graduated from FSU to start attending mass at the Cathedral or Night Fire so he can hear you. You are a great inspiration for young adults starting out🙏 “God please grant me the grace to desire what God desires for me”…thank you.

I recognized Fr Mac from SJPll when he comes to help out at holy days. Thank you for telling your true story. You were t sone good two shoes holier than thou person. God hung around nd with sinners to bring them to Him. He already had tge goody two shoes. And I bet they made a good priest too.!!

Thank you there was a lot of insight and hope in this testimony. My son is in prison and has shut me out. When he was 7 God whispered he would be a clergy but I don’t remember the specific label the Lord used. When he was ten he told me he felt he was to grow up to be a pastor. Not sure what the outcome will be but I pray for God’s will for his destiny. God bless all of you and keep bringing what God has for his people,!

Light a candle in the Church daily and say a prayer for him and his journey. He could be a preacher on the inside and help others find God. My Church has a code to use if it’s locked, see if you can get a key or code.

Wow. yep, Divine providence. I was young 13-14 and hung with party crowd, and it was my Mom who enrolled me in Catechism (make my Holy Confirmation) (old neighborhood-Catholic church, School, Convent just blocks from my home. I was tutored by 2 nuns at the convent (still have my books from that time), and then got away from the 'party crowd' and my best friend whom I partied with, she's dead, she had a nervous breakdown, got into drugs, etc. Me, I am in my 50s now, and all those party people are dead. I recite the Rosary 2-4 times a day. Devoted to my Faith, the Holy Rosary, (Ryan keep Jen in my Prayers). I've been married but then divorced and stayed on my own since. I have my own little home and love my prayer times in the evening. My relationship with Christ, the Blessed Mother, appeal to St. Joseph, all the Saints, just to help me through tough times. Nothing like having that personal time to pray, get to know Christ through the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary, and see things so different and more meaning. I thank my Mom for her directing me toward the path of Christ. She and my Dad are gone now, and owe my Faith and life choices to them.

I am in my 50’s too, both parents are still alive, you have been through the ringer! So nice to hear God has given you the grace of peace and contentment. I am still searching for it. I get anxiety pretty bad and my mind goes crazy, thanks for sharing and praying.

@@home17able Learn to recite the rosary. this will help with anxiety. Best mediation. And learn the life of Christ. It's the best 'therapy' and it's Free. People will fail you, God never will.

❤ wonderful and inspiring for our priest's and religious in waiting. May the Holy Spirit open eyes and hearts to gifts within. May I recommend you start a movement with all the school children that they are prayer warriors. For themselves, their families, friends, neighbors, the world. Catholic schools can collect their private and confidential prayer requests which the priest could put on the altar. Students would see the words of Jesus to let the little children to come unto Him, that He loves them, and listens to their prayers. What better way to show the children their prayers are offered up to God during Mass.

Not true! He loves you just as much. He wants you to know him better. Read the Bible. Go to mass. Go to Confession. Know he died for you because he loves you that much.

When I told my parish priest I felt the Calling to the priesthood, I'll never forget the smile on his face 😊 But he just said something like, when you feel you're ready come talk to me and he'd connect with where I needed to go from there. I was probably in middle school at the time. That was it. I didn't get any discernment prosses.
