"If you think Muslims treat women equally, go for a holiday in Pakistan" Just as men,women in Pakistan are free to take part in political activities,and they do,they are free to step outside and earn their livelihood by themselves,just as men do. Benazir bhutto(Late) of Pakistan was elected as a prime minister not once,but twice.Foreign minister of Pakistan is a woman,for example. There might be mistreatment going on in some backward rural areas,not in the entire country.

@CorporalNym If he "created" Allah, then why is it that for thousands of years Arab Christians and Arab Jews have called God "Allah"? This is the case even today. Walk into an Arab Church or Arab Synagogue and you will find the word "Allah" written in Arabic on many of the walls. The same God that these Arab Christians and Jews worship if the same God that Muslims worship.

If they believe and lead a righteous life, the reward from GOD is far better, if they only knew. [Noble Qur'an 2:103] Indeed, those who submit themselves absolutely to GOD alone, while leading a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord; they have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve. The basis of morality is Goodness, Compassion and Mercy, which btw demands either the existence of a standard to make such evaluations, or an understanding what these concepts mean. Each of us are born with an innate sense of morality, and it is incredible to consider that no matter time, culture, geographic location, or people, the Moral Law has been universally acknowledged, which tends to confirm that all of creation bears the finger-prints of a Creator who is fundamentally good and right.

Sahih Bukhari Book 51, No 510 So 1: If Abu Bakr's codex was complete, why did they need to recompile? 2: If it was complete, why burn the old manuscripts? Would Uthman's Quran not simply have been exactly the same, at which point he'd have realised what he had just done was futile?

He simply skirted around the question. Why didn't Allah do what he allegedly did with the Quran much earlier? Why did Allah reveal his words knowing that people would forget/change them, and then LATER try again with a different approach? Or did he not know this would happen?

God is not evil. Based on our own actions, we are the ones who freely choose to do evil. If it wasn't for us evil wouldn't exist. In other words, Evil does not exist (as proven before), but since we free willed creatures do exist, we tend to fall in the trap of using this free will to do wrong/evil.

Yes, the fact so many wicked people got away with it, and lived happy lives free from punishment, was undoubtedly one of the driving factors in man's creation of religion; the sense that there SHOULD be eventual justice, and, if people escaped unscathed from this life, they'd get it in the next. Perfectly understandable, and even commendable. Alas, there is no reason to think that this actually is the case. The same motivation applies to 'living eternally'. fear, and self delusion.

Positive to have this topic, but major issue at the beginning of the lecture stated that two primary sources are Quran and Sunnah. When you say primary (source), it should mean one source. How can there be two primary sources?. Sounds like saying three is one and one is three. Additionally, what the Prophet said is definitely not a revelation, it is his own words on whatever he interpreted the revelation is, and most likely the sayings were situational (environment and context dependent). Ppl jotted down the narrative with inaccuracies (hence we have many non authentic hadiths) andequating them to "revelation" is IMO a terrible injustice

The basis of morality is NOT rationality. As I said earlier, Goodness, Compassion, Mercy and Justice are some pillars of Morality. I repeate, you live in a moral dilemma, heck you don't even know the difference between rationality and morality. One is how to THINK in a correct manner, and the later is how to BEHAVE in a correct manner.
@Hichamstudio
@Hichamstudio 12 жыл бұрын
Your opinions are based on googled misinfo. Some morals are very easy to accept and only the fringes of society might question or reject them. These people on the fringes may be good or bad, the mere act of rejecting a socially accepted moral of the time is in no way an indicator of the persons goodness. Other morals are harder to accept because they contradict or overlap with other morals. These types of moral situations are at the heart of the greatest debates of our time (like abortion).

Not only do u fail to percieve life as test with unlimited wisdom! But, u even fail to realise that by allowing evil to exist, we are the only ones to blame for the violations, crimes, violence and terror in the world. We are the ones introducing darkness to our lifes, thus unbalancing it by the wrong. We are the ones blindly tinting black over white. Yet! u come & claim God the Exalted is evil! Are you out of your mind?! You're pushing ur luck way too much.

And yet at the same time, you would have us believe that there is no objective basis for making moral judgments! You don't seem to be aware of the basic logical contradictions of ur beliefs and statements! Who decides what is "right"? Who decides what is "wrong"?

COLD doesn't exist. According to Physics, what we consider cold, is in fact the absence of heat. Anything is able to be studied as long as it transmits energy/heat. DARKNESS doesn't exist. Darkness is in fact simply the absence of light. Light can be studied, darkness can not. Darkness cannot be broken down. EVIL doesn't exist either. Just as in the previous cases, Evil is a term which man has adopted & used to describe the result of the absence of Goodness in the hearts of men.
