To be fair Henry didn't divorce his wives he annulled them. Divorce and Annulment are different. When you divorce someone you're acknowledging that the marriage was lawful and legal. Annulling your marriage means that the marriage was never real and wasn't lawful. I'm not defending Henry Viii because he was a real tyrant or the church of England, but you should atleast have your facts right before you criticize them.
@sarahbunker4821
@sarahbunker4821 3 жыл бұрын
@SA S Your right. Divorce didn't really exist in medieval and tudor europe since the catholic church considered marriage a sacrament and therefore unable to be broken by men. However divorce and an annulment are still two different things, and it's annoying when people don't realize that and just think an annulment was another word for divorce in Tudor England.

I would say this for both Kate and Sophie, they dated William and Edward for several years before they got married so knew what they were marrying into, and that is not just fairytales. They learnt valuable lessons from Diana and Fergie, I know the Queen went above and beyond to support Sophie's integration into the RF as she wanted to avoid another divorce. Plus they were not raised in broken homes, Fergie and Diana were deeply affected by their parents divorces.

@@NYB2023 oh really, Meghan's family first turned on her, first of all her siblings treated her very poorly because her mother is black, they always told their friends that her mother was the maid. They only wanted to acknowledge her when she married a prince, I guess they taught they could benefit from it. She asked her father to walk her down the isle, but two days before they weren't able to get in contact with him, prince Charles had to take her down the isle. Later her father said he had a stroke and he was in a hospital, they called the hospital many times to see how he was doing, but the hospital had no knowledge of him being there. The next thing they knew was that he was trashing her to the press for two cents, she called and begged him not to do it again, but he continued, so she stopped speaking to him and I don't blame her. No one has the right to chose a partner for anyone, whoever you meet in life is your destiny, it's away for a reason, either to learn, teach or both, God decides who we connect with, weather a relationship last or not, we always lean something, it's called teaching of the soul and making changes.

Diana said in the book by Andrew Morton that there was one person before Charles. It's just that one of her uncle's, who I guess didn't bother to ask around, announced in the press that she was a virgin. I don't think there was any casting around. He dated Diana's older sister first, they broke up, and sometimes later he started up with her, after a chance meeting. Eyeroll. There was no hunt that resulted in finding her.

She did say in public or to an interviewer that she wanted to "stay clean" or something like that because she felt it was important, I think she felt she had a special destiny. We are speaking from two different sources, but I believe Morton's book to be accurate, because he worked from her recorded answers (she spoke into a tape recorder) in answer to his written list of questions. I do think it's understandable if she bent the truth a bit in public, that's a heck of a spot to be in. I think she answered honestly to Morton, and when it was published it was put out he'd spoken to her close friends, in particular Caroline Bartholomew (hope I got that name right). She was Diana's flatmate when she got engaged. It was really her answers, and I am sure she planned eventually to admit they were her own words. ✌️👍🖖

There's no pressure marrying into a Royal family. The problem that some people have, like the wife of Harry, is that she does not understand that a commoners life ends permanently. Whatever the commoner was doing before the marriage will have to stop due to other regulations that must be done to continue the whatever Royal institution they have entered. Not many see that from outside unless they are told about this in school or in Church somewhere.

As an American, I would like to say I am embarrassed by one of our own causing such a public spectacle of herself and English's prince. We don't approve of her antics and most see through her and what she has done to Prince Harry. True he is going along with it. But she is very skilled in her narcissism and using her wiles to bewitch him. I am so sorry to see her separate him from his brother and family. I hate to think what will become of him, being that he seems quite fragile at the moment. She will no doubt dump him once she has achieved what she needs from him. Oprah Winfrey is an enabler of this situation and needs some education as to how narcissists work and how they use people. Oprah is being used, but at least making money while it is happening. She and Meghan are both powerful women who know what to do. Prince Harry, who is a wounded bird, is going along with it all. How long that can last is anyone's guess. America doesn't approve. We apologize to the British people. We are sorry to see the dismantling of the son of beloved Princess Diana.

I don't agree with this. Having divorced parents has little relation to your marriage because you are your own person. Di, Fergie, and MM are very emotional over the top types, each in her own way, and prone to outbursts of emotion: Di ping-ponged between sad and happy, Fergie is... we'll say excitable, and MM is the eternal victim. Kate's strengths are consistency, you can never tell when she is having a bad day, and above all else incredibly self-possessed. If you don't remember it, because maybe you weren't following them at the time, when the french long lens photo scandal happened (I don't know which words YT will flag as inappropriate), K&W were on a royal tour. The day after the pics were published W looked like Mr Sourpuss all day long, whereas K was picture-perfect calm. That's not family background, that's disposition. You're either like that or you are not and Di, Fergie, and MM are definitely not like that. What I will give you is that all Middletons are like that, James probably the least of them all. I'm a huge Kate fan BTW, and I've had MM's number from the start ;)

However Katherine took to it like a duck to water because she was truly in love, she wasn't looking for a fight to pick, her husband is love with her, you can see it in his face, he doesn't need to run around smacking everyone for not bowing and scraping to her every whim or emotional outburst. They are a very stable couple.

Andrew Morton describes MM as "A mid-ranking celebrity in Hollywood". MM had 3-4 "bit parts" , in low quality films, with one word or one line which her dad pulled strings to get for her. THAT was Hollywood. Then, she was on a tv game show for a few months and on a Canadian cable tv show, for a short time, in a minor role that was being written out. That's the entire "career" she had to give up. Today, she's been in L.A. for 6 months and nobody's calling her. Harry's the one who gave up EVERYTHING.

He literally loses nothing, and there's no witchcraft keeping him in the US. He's with her because he wants to be, and I hope people actually have more faith that Harry as a grown man knows what's best for himself. And should one day the marriage fail, let it be between them and not because of the judgement and criticism of the public. Also, as an American we honestly don't care about them LOL.
