and she was emancipated at 15 when she started the band thats when she changed in gossip girl started dressing as she wanted instead of how her parents forced her to dress, and as 16 she left gossip girl when her contract went void because she never wanted to do it, again forced, been acting since age 2 her mother mostly forced her. thats why in 'under the water' song she goes 'as i cried onto my mother, no she was never there for me', and her dear sister song telling her sister that its okay mommy and daddy disown her cause shes out there doing her thing and happy, and not to worry because shes stronger then to let it get to her.

Temari pay attention to the lyrics lol she’s probably addressing her parents in this song, and crawling on the dinner table wearing those clothes is probably a representation of her feelings of rebellion, it’s art, it has meaning. I don’t wanna be the person who brings sexism into everything, but tell me that you would be as bothered as you are now if instead of her there was a 17 year old boy was crawling on a dinner table full of grown women? Plus her parents were the ones who put her in the industry at a VERY young age, and she made clear in other songs that she felt used by them (listen to under the water) try to see beyond your prejudices, she’s allowed to express herself and if you feel offended by her clothes maybe the problem is you, not her. People are so hypocritical when it comes to Taylor, everybody says that she “went down the wrong path” just because she became a rockstar instead of pretending to be some kind of perfect blonde human Barbie that smiles to the camera and snorts cocaine right after. Just honestly to all the people saying that she's going to hell. You have no idea who she is, what her morals are, what she's about, what she believes or who she really is. You literally have no power or right to say she's going to hell. You can't judge someone on one small aspect of their life. And while you sit here cowardly judging another person behind your keyboard, maybe you should look at yourself and be quiet. Idk who needs to hear this but God put it on my heart to say this. I was born dead, the doctors did CPR and God brought me back. When I was 2 years old I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Every doctor my parents took me to said I was colicky. God lead us to a doctor at childrens hospital and he diagnoses me with kidney cancer. I had a wilms tumor on my left kidney the size of a softball. I went through chemothereapy and eventually got my kidney removed. I've been cancer free for 12 years! I've also been saved since i was 8. Al we have to do to be saved is ask and mean it from our heart and we will go to heaven when we die. If you remember anything that I'm saying let it be that all we have to do to be saved is ask and that god loves you and so do i! Idk who needed to hear this but God put it on my heart to say this. If anyone needs any prayers just reply to my comment. God loves you and so do I God bless you all!

I was listening to this band at the age of 12. I remember when this song first came out, I didn't even understand what people were saying when they said that this was inappropriate. Now I understand, I just don't agree with it.

People been nailed on crossed centuries before the Nazarene was strung up and afterwards as well. I think an important take away from this video is that obviously life constantly changes. But we as people do not like to recognize it. As much as i hate my sister using me as a punching bag to release all her existential anger, one thing that i do love about her is that she does not try to cling like i do. My sister fully embraces change as it happens. Me, i am always baring my fingernails into a past that i can not possibly keep a grasp on. I love my sister, even in our odd dysfunctional family way. She is also the person i am closest to. But some how that is what this song makes me think about. :)
